After searching for other pieces I ran across a really nice left fender, mine is in total state of needed help so I decided to purchase this nice pristine one and replace my old beat up one.

wasn't to hard to get the old one off a couple bolts here and there and was "out with the old"

behind the fender actually looked pretty clean barely had even surface bubbles that made me Happy!!

            "on with the new"

            Don't mind the socks

After that it was time for the 22r, with the new big bore This was something I didnt have much experience in luckily for me I meet a friend that owns a shop and walked me thru it all step by step.

            ported clean heads, performance lifters

            lightened fly wheel

almost there still have to paint and clean some parts, and modify oil tank

Decided to paint the oil pan.

Considering painting the headers while i'm at it but since this part will be replaced soon I figured why waste the energy. The reason why I'm going with a newer header system is because of the performance work done on the engine. Better headers better beast.

got the engine in and bolted, just a few more pieces going run the Weber 32/36

Sorry for the bad pic quality sometimes Iphones are the best and other times its a crapshot

After a few more hours of work, I have everything together, well semi, whoever had the car left the wiring in a mess. And I found out later on about other issues But the motor sounds good, this big bore 22r sound amazing with the weber I just love a nice carb

I had to rig some things up to get this to run unfortunately, at first I wasnt getting spark, I found that issue, then once I filled the radiator major puncture revealed itself luckily a local O'Reiley has a radiator so I will grab that today, then the gas tank fiasco is pretty bad. Currently there is a fuel cell in the rear but for the life of me I cant figure out what he did. So Luckily I Found an original fuel tank and will put that in and rerun the original lines. Shes not perfect but shes getting somewhat whole again.

Will be replacing the valve cover and buying the dress kit, but for now I have a motor and trans in it, time to take it for a spin with no muffler

Not to put the horse before the carriage I was looking at tire fitment pics and I found a couple examples. Wanted to ask you guys for your input .

I want to say these are 14x6.5 0 offset which im sure probably would allow tons more room to tuck

Thru a local CL search I located an original 1st gen celica liftback gas tank. Great condition inside and out, now I can get rid of that hideous fuel cell in the rear hatch.

Im hoping it doesnt need a new fuel pump

Tell me you're going to do fender mirrors like that white one.

Yea I have to do the fender mirrors one of the small ways to make it look different from a mustang...lol

Yea its on stancenation as well. Was hoping some celica guys would drop some knowledge on me but it looks like I might have to set sails ahead on this one..

Got the tank bolted in had to find a seperate work around due to missing links, fired the car up and it ran good for a minute. then it got lean and shut off. Luckily I still had the access panel off the tank and quickly realized the fuel pum was not working. I kind of figured that would be the case. The good thing about the 22r motor is that it has a mechanical fuel pump attached so i should be able to use that one rather than the one in the fuel tank. Also I was having a problem with some wiring. The alternator should plug into something I just couldnt figure out what. This alternator has a internal voltage regulator I thought that would be enough, but there is actually an external voltage regulator as well. I found one at my local o'reileys

The voltage regulator I was missing

The online diagram that let me know I was missing a piece

The racing fuel cell the previous owner put in is now out, back to a more stock set up
