  • A little lower

Just went even a tad bit more lower. Now Im riding on bump stops and I dont think I can cut anymore. It seems to be smooshing the thing as is and its only about 1" of bump stop from all the other cutting I have done

I was trying to get a pic of the clearance I have while turning and I just so happened to snap this shot. He approves

    !

I gotta do the rears tonight and I'll have more shots of the entire car up tomorrow.

I hope this dont screw me on fitting some spacers on

Cant find the camera but by god you guys are breaking my heart!

Almost a hundred views and not even a request for full shots?

    Harsh!

Anyways, while Im searching for a camera I got questions.

What the hell can I do about rubbing when turning if anything? Will spacers make that worse? Stretch wont help much right as far as turning is concerned right? I already have 35 series and really cant stomach anything lower.

I can only roll my fenders a bit more, but I cant pull cause I cant bring the rears out cause the door is half the fender. Actually only about 1/4 of the fender is metal, the rest is a huge plastic bumper. And its not rubbing inside the fenders, the tire sits under the arch

Now a opinion is needed. Im probably gunna go ahead and make the struts look nice, probably get sleeves on so I can raise it up a bit if I need to also.

This being said what color should I paint my struts? Im thinking " keep it Luxury " and go with gold or something like that.

    Any suggestions?

What can I do about the bump stop?. These roads are smooth and if Im this low I would rather the bump stop take the shock immediately than having a inch of space left for the strut to slam into it. Can I find softer ones? What do you guys recommend ( its already cut down as much as I can go ).

I cant go lower cause of the clearance while turning.

I can fake it with a kit.

Jt autostyles has a nice kit but the car they use to advertise the kit is ugly as shit and the installation is half assed.!

It does add lots of depth to help the car look lower and the rear is pretty on point and clean/plain with nice cuts for a good exhaust.

        They do make OEM kits.

        1. The 2001-2002 LSE is a LS with just a appearance package consisting of a front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts ( oh and a chromeless grille! ) but it dont add the depth that I would need to appear lower. Does look good but a lot like a BMW and I might be able to get away with a separate lip kit on it from another ummm similar car for depth.

        2. 2004-2005 LSE/06 LS

2004-2005 they made a revised LSE and in 2006 they used that platform for the new last year run of the LS. This kit does add depth but in order to pull it off I have to not only swap out the rear bumper but I have to swap out the trunk lid and inner tail lights cause they have a different design. But I do like this one the best out of these three and if I go with it I can find a 2006 in a junk yard and pull parts cheaper than I can a 2004-2005 LSE kit.

Over all tho I like the OEM look I have the best. May be plain but when slammed looks good and I would be original. Everyone else feels your not complete till you add some rice kit with this car.

If I can work around the turning dilemma I can use rear struts up front cause they are shorter in the housing but the same over all length so I could then go lower and not worry so much about the bump stop.

        EDIT: Found the camera!

I decided to toss a few of the shaved badge area that I did myself. The grille I did needs more work to the center. Of all things the factory painted black center started peeling but not my paint job itself I wanna have someone make a stencil so I can paint a Lincoln logo on and shoot some clear over it.

The rear could use some more but Im worried about the flow of the body lines. The top of the rear fender flares sit lower then the front stock and this evens them out but makes it look like a 71 Charger!

Smaller tire, roll your fenders and some camber. You can definitely go lower

I already have 35 series, I have rolled my fenders and like I said its not rubbing the inside its the arch itself thats catching.

If or when I do I also have a sh*t load of wires to relocate that feed into my fender,... I mean lots! When I jack one side of the car up I can barley get that tire of the ground before the opposite side hits the wires. I have about 2 " if that harness wasnt there.
