Oh yeah.
Tech / Misc - Lower ball joint bolt rubbing rotor! - I've brought this topic up before and everyone swore that it was impossible for the lower bolt to touch the rotor. Well, I swapped in a new set of lower ball joints when I did a complete ITR 5-lug swap, and a new brake setup. So I have completely new spindles and...
Suspension & Brakes - Ball Joint Rubbing! - I have a problem that I still cant find a way to fix..so it started with the front right tire..i had no problems whatsoever when accelerating or braking..but when i turned i would hear a slight rub on the front right tire..i assumed it was the brake pads or rotors..so i...
Or you could just go get a 'maaco special' urethane paint job. They look pretty good and last for a few years. Just bondo over the small dents and pull the rest.

$400 with some time and you could have a fairly clean teg.

Oh hey, where in Kentucky are you? It's always cool to see local guys on here. I live in Berea, about 45 minutes south of Lexington.

The war plane teeth is covering some body damage, so yes I know it's backwards, I hope to find a eg to build but in the mean time have some fun with this trashed tegOriginally posted by Meeve View Postyou did what needed done! Best would be to plate it up to make sure it's solid. But some would argue it's useless.
I can get the front wing and the whole rat look thats begenning to emerge, but I'm realy not a fan of the war plane style mouth and teeth... and you got it on backwards.
But really am I the only one that has ever had the ball joint rub the rotor?

Yeah due to a few life uncontrollable facts I have given up on the "simple clean" look and decided to embrace more of a "hood rat" "rat rod" styleOriginally posted by rice4life View PostBefore going lower I would clean up the car a bit, it looks atrocious. Yeah, cut holes where it hits. You could extend the metal out to retain rigidity, but it won't make that much difference on a street driven car anyway.
Seems like a fun project, can't wait to see where this goes.
