    Killer truck, can't wait to see it finished. I'm jealous of that southern sheet metal, you have the nice patina look, but not all the rot mine has. I feel your pain about removing the factory rivets, I just went through that last weekend and it's not fun, but a quality air hammer made short work of them once the heads were ground off.

    Thanks man, come on by ahaha. What's funny is Jason and I are buddies and I lived in Kitchener all my life up until a year ago. His car is even better in person!

    So much win here. Crazy that 2 of my favorite builds in progress on here are in the Kitchener/London area (the other one is Jason's crazy widebody GTI). Makes me really want to skip across the river to Ontario...

    Well after working on the C10 for some time I'm back onto my apache. It's back down to the bare frame (minus the bed) to get all the little things done to the chassis and get it ready to paint. Also grabbed an LS1 for the truck for next to nothing. It already came fitted with a large cam, ported heads, valve springs, and head studs, so it should make some decent power. New block hugger headers came in as well and fit no problem.


    Aside from tear down, I've been making some parts hear and there. Made up an aluminum fuel cell and started fitting it in the rear frame. I have yet to get some pics tho.

    Made up these motor mount gussets yesterday and got them welded in. I think they look pretty rad


    And welded. Should be good enough for the 450hp I'm shooting for

    After 2 years of looking I finally found an original seat for the truck last weekend. Found an old guy not too far from me that had Chevy truck parts from 1950-1972. Ended up coming home with a car full of parts for my truck and my buddies '66 C10. Aside from the seat I've been working on small things like getting LS harness stripped down to run standalone.


    My buddy and I finally started work on his C10 last weekend. We'll start a build thread on it when it gets a little further along. It'll be a very similar build to my truck: 6.0L LQ4, 4l60E, bags, 4 link, custom rear back half and all that fun stuff. Here's a couple shots of the work getting done and the rear back half I fabbed for him. Similar design to mine, but a whole lot easier to put together with integrated crossmembers.





    And a shot of the locator plates that keep the frame sides square with eachother. The crossmembers lock in in the same fashion

    Had a good weekend at the Speed and Custom show in London. Conveniently the show was held just down the street from our shop so travel time was minimal. Had a crowd around the truck for the majority of the weekend. Lots of questions and lots of people touching the paint/rust to see if it's real ahaha.

    Have a couple Iphone pics for you guys to check out until my buddy sends some over that were taken with a real camera

    This is the first time it's been fully together since I've started working on it


    Thanks to Tangent Car Care for the use of their trailer for the 2 minute drive to the show


    After beaching it on the ramp coming off the trailer like the amateurs we are, we finally got it into the show.





    Now with the show done it's time to break it all down, final weld everything, paint the frame and power coat everything else. After that it'll be about time to get it running and driving.

    Glad you guys like it. Should have more coming by the weekend. Got the steering shaft and u-joints in this morning before work. Now time to bust ass for the next two nights getting the body back on.
