  • BMW E34 520iA 1989 ''White One'' IT GETS BETTER

i am new here and i have been watching this forum for a while, then i decided that i'd might share with you my first/project car.

so when i was about 16 years old a got a Bmw e34 520ia 1989 for a first car. at that time i hadn't gotten my drivers license and was looking for something a little more '' go ''.

the car was in a farm near where i lived, it hadn't been used for 6 years. body wise it was in good shape but it wasnt looking good. when i opened the airfilter box i saw nothing but a bunch of straws and a couple of dead mice.

but here are a couple pictures of what i have been doing for the car over the past 3-4 year.

so that is how it was when i got it , then i took out those purple window tints and managed to open the rear door since they were stuck. i allso took the spoiler of it and repainted the trunk. and drove the car like that for like the rest of the summer, and in the my transmission started slipping so i bought another e34 520i that had the interior that i was looking for, that tan and black color combo!. and the car allso had a getrag 225 gearbox

looks like a fucking jeep in this one if you ask me.

then i started swapping the interior

then after alot of work i finally started putting the interior back together!

then i attacked the automatic transmission

here is the little manual getrag 225 gearbox

and the manual transmission finally out

and then i noticed that my heat element for my '' fan/heater '' dont know what its called in english, was ruined and was puking engine water on the heater which endend in a foggy interior. so i replaced that with a brand new one

here is the getrag 225 in its place

had to do this to trick it so it would start

and here is a pick i took when the manual swap was completed

then i bought these staggered m-system wheel with throwingstar lids. really pleased having been able to purchase those for the price i got for them here in iceland

svo setti ég þessa gardínu lika í einhvertiman

then i bought a used K&W lowering system for the car , also , very pleased with that one

then the 2nd summer ended and i put the car in its rest over the winter and started ordering stuff for it.

    hella Dark headlights
    M-tech style 2 steering wheel
    6000k xenon
    M-tech shifter knob with light

then i focused on taking up my wheels , so me and my father got a old saw , and changed it so i could put a wheel on it and work my way from there (sorry for the awesome English)

had to put the car outside for a while

a couple of pictures of that old saw.

the m-tech style 2 with new leather

    Fínu fínu felgurnar ..

when i got the lights they looked like this, two of three clamps witch hold the high beam in place were broken , but that wasnt a biggie.

then i went over night to the car in the winter where it was kept and put the Hella Dark headlight in cus i just couldnt wait any longer . oo yeah and i allso finished polishing the wheel !

here you see how i changed the saw for this job

then i ordered this , car is like new right now

and put the 6000k xenon and put primer on the throwingstars

bought new rear tiers toyo (255/40r17)

    and OEM Hella rear lights

and finished of the throwing stars

then i bought a m50tub25 , 188mm LSD and facelift side skirts.and this is how the car sits right now

i will be getting S50 exhaust headers and a chiptune .

    thats all for now

Yeah thanks, at first when i found out that it was an automatic m20b20 with only 127hp from factory, i thought to myself fuck this and wasnt really that interested but it had no rust and for that it was a good platform for something awsome, so i bought it!
