      • I received a response about the rendering and I wanted to add more to the image I posted. The rendering doesnt give the full scope of what I have on my head for a design for the car.

I did this using the Stuner site, so I didnt spend the time that others have on it. But I tried to add or give the idea of what I want to get. Not sure if a Orido Max kit will be best for aerodinamic for the car or keeping it relatively stock looking or like Carl's rotory hearted GS300. Its between those ideas, I am not a graphics guy so I can only try to recreate it through the limitations of my skills using the STuner system.

As I drive the car I will have to consider a wing due to needing more downforce, it will be something that will be on my mind as I learn the car and want to improve on my time. I want a chassis mounted wing, so not mounted to the trunk. Like the ones Kognition user have on their cars.

This will be part of the car evolving as you can already see in so many of the builds that I use as inspiration or use for ideas on what to add to my build. So my rendering possibly sucks at showing what I have in my head as a vision. But again, this will be a track car that will be subject speed events like Global Time Attack. The car will evolve as I learn what new things I need to add or remove from the car. The shop that I am working with is helping me alot on parts and they can fabricate anything. Same shop that made the cage for me, good couple of guys there.

I like the oem lip kit, the modification made to the bumper to bring in more air through the front bumper, the rear just shows add added styling you get from the lip kit. So I like that about adding the lip kit.

From serialnine I like how the fenders allow for wider tires, give you some styling which I like. The boot lid I like for its lighter factor on top of looking good to the car. I will have it molded because I like the molded look. The front lip used and side skirts I have already talked to the S9 car owner to know in case I go that route. This is another nice car I like and use for ideas and inspiration on my build.

From what you see on the images above, I want to mold the rear over fenders like Jimmy Huynh had done on his car. I like the clean look once the fenders have been molded.

Carl's car is insane, this car had the front bumper modified to accommodate the wider front fenders. This car has also evolved from when it first debut. So just like this, I hope to evolve the look of my car.

Last I dont know if I would go the Max Orido kit for the Aristo/GS300. I like this kit alot, its offered in FRP or Carbon Fiber lighter but not sure by how much. I have put thought into the possibility of a crash or damage to this very expensive body kit... Maybe I would build a daily GS300 with this kit and just use the oem front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper with the S9 added pieces. So you can see that the rendering doesnt really do my vision justice. I decided to post my work and it could have made some believe that I would destroy the build. Not really, so hopefully this long response to the concerned comment helps.

        • Hello everyone,

its been a while while since I last updated this thread. My car is not at the shop just yet. All of my efforts are into buying a house with some land, as well as a separate garage so I can dedicate all of the time I get for to working on it. As my family grows, we are soon getting pretty cramped in our 3 bed 2 bath townhome. So until I get the home, which I expect to be by February or March 2017. We are saving to get our down payment straight. In the mean time I am working with cardboard to design some aerodynamic parts to bring extra downforce to the cars stock body. Aside from the serial none parts, I decided to keep it mostly stock with a front bumper with a replica TTE lip. I will then design a splitter, canards. In the rear I will design a diffuser to go with the stock rear bumper. The design of the diffuser will help me decide if I go with quad exhaust in the rear or side outlets. I have talked to the shop and will go fuel cell, drysump, not sure on methanol yet, but I will see what else I add.

I am also getting ideas, asking companies like Lyfe Motorsports for ideas on how to cut weight for making the car lighter.

I expect all of this to help me bring my work to the shop so they can put it together for me once the car gets to them. I know I'll be better with my own space instead of being cramped like I am now, it's a pain to setup my workspace and then tear it done. With my own garage I can work, stop and pick up right where I left off.

My updates won't be as awesome for now.

I will be leaving through some of your build though.

Alright, I'll try to share as often as I can.

          Take care stance family

          • I like where youre going with the body, but personal opinion, the rear flares are too rounded to meet the body again, to be aggressive... Maybe because my wide body dreams are the IMSA 75 kit with vented rears.
But your car is round with soft body lines.

            • I'm not sure I understand your goal for the car, which is fine because I don't have to drive it. But if you are trying to build a comfortable daily that you can also whoop ass on the track with, why are you getting rid of heat/ AC, and all of the factory sound deadening? That sounds miserable to me. I understand the quest for lightweighting, but a line has to be drawn in the sand if you still want to be able to drive this car on the street and maintain your sanity. Just my .02

Other than that, with the sponsors you have lined up and the quality of parts/ cash flow going into this car, there is no way it will turn out bad haha

I started with the idea of making this a daily that I could take to the track. Now it has evolved to a track car. I have another daily already. I keep looking at my options in regards to what I will upgrade and what I will keep. I will build another GS300 for the street, just as soon as I am done with this one. The decision came after talking to the shop I am working with as well as my sponsors. I hope it helps, the initial thought has changed in regards of what I will do with the car.

I started to see that certain things would annoy me so I decided to just do the full track car thing and have almost similar more of a street version of the car.

I see what you mean on the read fenders, I might modify it a bit. I want to mold them to the car. So there is still alot to do. I have looked into venting them to allow for more downforce another ways to keep the rear on the ground. I got this idea when I looked at the SerialNine front wide fenders, they already have an opening in the side closest to the door. I was thinking how can I use that to my advantage to use it similar to F1 cars do.

Again, molding is my way of rounding the sharp lines of the fender to the body lines so it all flows again.

                    • Not the greatest pic but it's a mock up to see how I like it. Remember this is a track car and downforce and aero dynamic is very important. It might not look like much, but cardboard mock ups for now

                      • I made a visit to the shop and they always have something nice that they are working on. Some of the rides that they have worked on, and still stop by the shop for more work.

I like this fuel addition to the fuel cell, might consider moving my things over for weight distribution.

This 89 Saleen Mustang is being built to FIA spec to compete in the King of Europe drift series - Girl driven, sounds very nice with the blower it already has.

                        ---

Back to my boring card board mock ups. More progress, I am getting the shape, then I will trim peices down. I have also been in converstations with my shop to get their input as well as figure out what I can change in my design. Once I get the front splitter and cannards designed how I want, then I will move to the rear for the diffuser and wing.

                        • Its been a while since I posted something car related. I posted that I had finally purchased a home after months and months of searching, headache, putting offers in, getting close to buying one and then it falling apart and now finally buying a home that we are pretty happy with. Then came the projects right after purchasing the home. From turning a closet to a mudroom. Then after that fencing the backyard. Road trip to visit family in Dallas Tx.To getting a new pupp but not before my son fractured his tibia and fibula.

So after almost a year of putting sponsors off from me buying their parts I finally am back throwing money at this thing again. The car is scheduled for November 2017 what I have been calling Phase Two of this build. Car was moved from our old townhome to its new home, and its now just waiting for November.

Also, awesome house purchase! Looks like there's a lot of room for fun car things in that garage.
