      In the Netherlands these and the w124's have been very popular due to tax reasons (which have been stopped recently though)
      I have seen many of them passing by with black bumpers on MOPF-0 versions and they all came back from it and went the Sacco Bretter -route...
      But hey, you don't have to follow the herd ofcourse

        Little update
        All kinds of pulley bearings are going out. Fan clutch, tensioner pulley, water pump bearing. Super fun. These diesel cars are so reliable they run throught the life of the bearings before any major service. Removed the fan so im running fanless until the electric fan shows up.
        Threw my bundts on while i refinish my monoblocks in hopes of selling them.

        Got a bunch of goodies
        Right tie rod, rear camber arms, r129 strut mounts and bumpstops. Still need center link and left tie rod before it all goes on.

        Also scored the cladding at the local picknpull. Gonna paint it black to match the bumpers until the car gets painted.

        Now i need a different rear bumper because my stock one wont line up with the cladding. Tried on a jaguar front lip at the junkyard might get a better condition one to use for the front.

          Not much has happened to the car in the past few months. Got a new bumper for the front. Much cooler. Also I have an E36 bumper to try out on the rear. I also finally installed all those parts I had in the box plus new control arm bushings, ball joints, and all new linkages. Rides way better. Bought a set of Work Ewing III for the car should be coming soon.

            nice base for a project car! You went from slowest on earth so second slowest? I bet this diesel is far from being a bomb too.

              More stuff coming along now. Got caps for the wheels and some bigger brakes for the car. Also tried out an e36 bumper on the rear and it almost fits. Still deciding on what to do about suspension.

                Cleaning cleaning cleaning. That's all I've been doing. Just need some rotors and pads and I'll be ready.

                    I always stop at that Rotten Robbies to fill up on diesel before I head down south lol. If you ever need parts stripped, blasted or powder coated I'm over in Campbell man.

                      Have you fitted the r129 top mounts yet?
                      I tried some on my 16v and once the shock was fitted couldn't shut the bonnet!
                      The bonnet closed with just the top mounts so maybe its down to your shock...either way, really close.

                        190D not an E!

                        I got the R129 mounts on. But only have a small washer instead of the big metal piece since it's different from the r129 designed one. Super tight fit.
                        I threw some 400e springs on but I need to cut them a bit more. There's a 400e at the PickNPull near me if anyone needs big brakes for w201/w124 that doesn't already have 4/2 pot calipers
