Already have a shift knob, nice little brass weighted password jdm dude. Will be grinding the writing off and have to retap it for 12x1.5mm

Looks like it was cared for. I'm liking all the details, especially inside the car. Can't wait to see where you take it.

So did a little work, ran my power wire for the Amp and made a little bracket to hold the fuse holder

as of right now, obviously need wheels. and a complete interior overhaul, remove all carpet and panels for Sound deadening. lot of audio work and little things. not gonna change too much. for now at least haha

started a topic Mk3 gti. Plain and Simple

    Mk3 gti. Plain and Simple

So after 3 project cars I started slightly then let go. Im finally have one i can really get excited about.

    It's a 97 Vw Gti, Sequoia green.
As im sure some people have seen it before, it used to be Randy Hernz car. Made the show circuit for a few years. My friend Alex bought it from him in Florida. He then paid for my other friend Jared's plane ticket from VA to FL to bring the car up here. He drove it for a little while but because he travels every week for work, it ended up sitting gathering dust for about a year. I've always wanted a clean mk3 to start with and decided to take him up on his offer of buying it. Mind you at this exact moment, I have not actually purchased it from him, put a deposit down a bit ago and will be handing over the cash in the next week or so. anyway.

things done to it so far.

    Body
    -Stock Sequoia Green
    -2.0 Lip

    Interior
-Mk2 powered Recaros reupholstered with black tweed and green stitching
    -Matching upholstered rear seats
-Personal wheel recovered with matching green stitching
-shift boot and e-brake boot upholstered to match

    Motor
    -VR6, Manual
    -Gruven parts metal crack pipe
    -Forge Motorsports coolant hoses
    -stage 2 Chip
-"dummy" cat with straight pipe ran through, so to still pass inspections.
-Some i dont know what exhaust
    -MSD Ignition

    So, here are some pictures.

    When Randy had it.

And now how I have it.

More updates very soon! Im stoked to get things started. I will obviously say I can't take credit for the modifications done so far.
Working...
