From my personal point of view, being around these cars since I could walk. I would say that the GT-3 wing look is all played out. Make the 930 look whale tail for it. It would be something new that hasn't been seen yet...that is what SEMA is all about. The rendering of the 996 with the colored wheels in your first sets of posts makes me do a double take. But this is my 2 cents...

Whale tail + large wing = win
Something between the two of those would be bad ass. Like a whale tail spoiler with parts that go vertical molded into the whale tail, and then the APR spoiler bolted onto it.

I'll do the 930 homage setup without the big wing. It' also gives me some extra cash to play around with by selling the APR Carbon GT Wing.
EDIT:
hahaha this made me LOL -.-

Ordered new rear flares as the custom setup just looked so crappy and similar to the JT Mode stuff being minimalistic.
Adding 4" to the rear on each side.

Well, I've been talking about doing this project for over a full year and finally started it. I'm doing a full 996 track and SEMA 2016 build. The motor will be receiving a custom 1off turbo build and the body is also a custom 1off setup. Yes it was suppose to make it to 2015 SEMA but due to work and sourcing parts, it wasn't able to make it. So we pushed it back to this year. Super excited to finally get this project started.
I'm using generic RSR 996 front flares that I modified to fit the OEM fenders and using AIR turbo rear flares that I'll be modifying to fit the Carrera.
I cut up the front flares today, will be working on glassing the rears next weekend.

Well sold the 996.1 GT3 replica front bumper and got my hands on a real one. Installing the rollbar and cutting up the front bumper this weekend to modify to fit the flares.Last edited by geeky; 03-09-2016, 05:01 PM.
