or you could go with Koni yellows on GC sleeves and not have everyone **** on your racelands, and have the ride of good coilovers?

Plus, if the springs aren't short enough for you, you could always change them out for some shorter springs and not beat yourself up for having shocks that aren't adequate like on the racelands.

          edit:
          My first thread was called
          "Racelands Anyone?"

I was a fucking ricer. Racelands suck dickbutt. I sucked dickbutt. Don't be me. Don't suck dickbutt.

To be honest i have no idea what the hell any of those things are, but if this helps, my stock suspension is completely trashed. I need a whole new assembly

GC = Ground Control coilover sleeves

Koni Yellows are shock absorbers. Good quality too (like really good quality)

Its a good setup but its pretty expensive though. just the coilover sleeves are around the same price as racelands.

Or you could do something like Tokico blues on some GC's to keep the price down while getting some pretty good quality shit. Used Blues/GC's on my buddy's bridgeport/street port NA FC rx7 for a couple years and like 50k miles with it being drifted every weekend for about 2 years. The engine would have popped before those shocks, because he got lazy and stopped maintaining it.

I would rather invest in more expensive coilovers, or build your own set that will last you and do the things that you want than buy some racelands.

I understand that this is your first car and that money is tight, and that buying $400 racelands is quite an investment, but consider the pros and cons to them. Though I luckily haven't bought racelands; I ended wasting $1500 fucking around with the suspension in my old elantra until I got some great coilover sleeves on some pretty decent shocks. A few of my friends who have run racelands on their 240sx's started with racelands, then ended up switching to better coilovers(tien basics, megan streets, ect). Racelands are a good start, but if you're serious about building the car and want to save some cash you should hold off.

I work at domimos pizza so i dont really have much money as it is, but i would need coilovers, then a respray hopefully and then some sort of wheel fitment for more of the stance look. Once i have all those things it will pretty much be the way I want it to be, then i can really start screwing around with other things. But how much would the coilover sleeve and shock setup run on average? If its a couple hundred more and if its really worth it, i would just save. Also i dont have much knowledge about cars besides basic stuff. I think installing coilovers is something i could easily do but im not sure about how different the whole shock and coilover sleeve is.

Also what do you guys know about wrd coils? Been doing some research and it seems people would prefer these over raceland 100%. Not sure about the warranty though

Don't get the WRDs. If your suspension's as bad as it is you will need to replace your entire assembly which will take some more knowledge and tools. I suggest you save up for the Koni yellows and GCs.
