The love for these jap blocks happen when I decided I wanted to try stance a car you don't see every day I'll start with this one. My gray colt turbo. Which I spent two years messing with. Started like this.

Worked on them a bit.


Mounted them, enjoy it loads then the car was stripped and sold, big mistake.

Then I tried to get mature and brought a lexus is250 was alright to start of with then I got bored quick. Now introducing my baby ralliart. Even more rare than the 1000 czt in the uk. Only 400 of these on the roads Brought two months ago standard. Come with 147bhp as standard.


Brought coilovers.
Bc racing.
Fitting them these cars are a right pain to work on had to strip the whole front as the top mounts are under the scuttle and loads of other junk. Check the standard hight!

Got them all rigged up after work looks a lot better.


I need to get more pictures of her but will keep you updated.
The weather is rubbish ATM.

Better than the near 3 inch arch gap.

Iv brought some splits too from Japan. Plan on doing loads to this colt. More too come soon.

Small update. Fitted a wink mirror to my colt. It was actually listed for a golf buggy but when I received it the fitting instructions were for a car.

Oh yea my new wheels came today, ebay purchase as usual, they we're describe as worn but still usable. What a joke the tires were absolute mashed all cracked and chunks missing I was not amused so I removed them, ready for the split and refurb!

They are volks racing cv pros, 4x114.3 et 30 7j and 8j they don't look too bad in the pictures but iv got my work cut out on these they look like they have been sat at the bottom of a river for years. But I'm looking forward to the task. Plan is black barrels, polished lips and red powder coated centers. Then stretch some new rubber on them, hopefully all goes well so then I can move on to the next stage.

Never really thought much of the colts, but this face lifted one look amazing, like a baby evo x. And 150bhp sounds like great fun in a small car like that. Looking forward to seeing the progress

Thanks for the positive feed back. Yea it's quite a fun car to drive I'm aiming for 200bhp in this one, thats in the long run though. Right now down to the small job of sorting the barrels out on the splits, looked like utter crap if I'm honest. Caked in crap! But I made good progress.
State of these!

Got my trusty £7 drill out and paint stripping bit and got to work took all the jap dust off it and coated it in high build primer.

I did paint the barrels black after but forgot to grab a picture. I'm picking my powder coated centers tomorrow! And I also brought a beer pump handle to fit as a gear stick. Hopefully I will get my dishes polished by my mate soon. More to come ....

Got my centers back from the powder coat guys. I'm so happy with the way they have come out they look brand new! Few pics.



They look slightly more pink in the pictures. But they are a Ferrari red colour. All that needs doing now is the lips sorted. Then I get to bolt them all back together! Can't wait!
Oh yea I also put on my gear knob.

Right this week I kicked my butt into gear on the wheel side of things I repainted the rear barrels as the acid from stripping the lips took all the paint off. I also gave them a coat of rim wax as I'm going to run the lips and centers with no clear coat. Oh yea also had the fun task of cleaning and polishing 120 bolts by hand. Was a job and a half!! But well worth it when I got them all sealed up and bolted back together. Soo pictures now I guess

Picture off the rear Barrles, went black, will get covered in dirt with in a few weeks.

Giving the centers and lips 4 coats of rim wax for a little protection against the elements


The final result I'm really happy with the outcome.


So my splits are finished finally. They took up more time than I first thought. Next Friday is pay day so that means tires and get the bad boys mounted and my stance dialed in. Then I can move on with the next plans. More to come .....

Thanks for all the positive comments people I know it's not everyone's cuppa. But I like being different. After tires next purchase is hks goodys and power upgrades.

Got tires on wheels and wheeks bolted up on the car. I'm pritty happy with the results. Need to take the rear spring purch out to get a bit more lows. But over all I'm happy.

Needs a clean up then I will try get better pictures. Oh yea it passed its Mot today!!!Thinking of painting the plastics white or getting a decat next.
