I'm Tom, from sunny Wales, UK. Been lurking here for a good few years, figured I'd best start a build thread at some point. I'll post up some of my previous builds and then get on with the latest one.



This was my Golf the day I got it, started as a 1.6 petrol, now has a 1.9 TDI with a hefty turbo and lots of smoke, dyno'd at 287 & 439.



Then I bought this to roll around in when the Golf was off the road.



Sold the Merc to buy this, which is my biggest regret selling.



Then I got this as a bit of fun, until the turbo went pop. Sold it and got the Rado...



Which went due to boredom, eventhough it was an awesome car.



Then I had this Leon, which was too new for me.

So I bought a MK1 Jetta from Germany.



Which I got halfway through a RWD conversion with a 20VT then got bored of it.

So the other day I picked this up, which is believed to be the only one of this spec in Europe apparently.



Today the deal was agreed on this. 2600 km round trip to collect it. Soon to be the only one in the UK.


So that's me. All of this has been in the last year since I turned 17. I'll get some updates on the toyota later today. Let me know what you think. Cheersss.

I know man, I only realised how cheap I got it after I'd sold it. I've asked the bloke who's got it now if he'd ever sell it and he says he's keeping it forever. So after a long think I decided I'm going to have to buy a rough one, and put a JZ in, make it do skids & keep that one. I have a feeling the toyota might stay, purely because of the interior. I'll get some pics up later of it, it's gorgeous.

Today I bit the bullet and enquired about every Triumph like my old one I could find. I've been on the lookout for a donor car aswell. So we might be rolling a TDIumph soon...keep your eyes peeled...

Here she is, factory manual, 2.0 straight six, twin cam 1G, make a good noise with some k00l exhaust setups. I'll fab something when I get it/me back to the UK
