    So, a big update indeed. Time to tell you all about the biggest fucking mission of a weekend indeed. I apologise in advance for only phone photos.

    It all started Thursday night, I got the Q5 wheels all fitted up and I was super happy with how they fitted. Then, Friday night after work, I started the drive with Megan to Adelaide. She had to meet the family at some point, so the weekend was the perfect opportunity.

    Anyway, we got to Adelaide just. The alternator died as I was pulling up to Mum's house. This was just the start of things to come.

    I put the battery on charge, and lowered the front down to where she should sit normally. I raised the front about 4cm from normal for the drive over, just to be safe. Having the front down, I was happy with the overall look of the car.

    The rear fitment is bang on, and the front could probably come out maybe 2/3mm.

    After this, I put the battery back in the car and decided that it would be a good idea to go exploring with Megan and show her around Adelaide. This was a bad idea. This was the worst idea. We got stuck on the freeway, rain, wind, all of it. Luckily Mum came and picked Megan up for me and I called upon Dad to come and pick the car up with a car trailer.

    That was a mission and a half in itself. Having almost been crushed by Lucy twice now, it is definitely necessary for bags. Getting a static car onto a standard car trailer is definitely difficult.

    Anyway, we got her back to Mum's after a long night. The next morning I picked up a new alternator and fitted it in Mum's garage. We were back in business. We went and grabbed lunch without any hassles whatsoever.

    Everything was going great, we went out with Dad for some drinks and then, on the way home, I decided it would be a good idea to rip a burnout in the industrial area close to Mum's. This was my first mistake.

    We packed the car up and we were on our way.

    I raised her for the trip home too. Just to be safe. We stopped and grabbed a very unhealthy breakfast and then we were on our way back to Melbourne.

    We got 200km's into the drive home and then all hell broke loose. I lost my power steering and the coolant warning popped up on my dash. Fucked.

    During said burnout, I must have dislodged the dogbone mount from the engine. How you ask?

    Well, when I cracked the oil pan, I noticed some damage to the dogbone mount. I ordered a replacement one straight away. The problem was, I had obviously hit it on something when rolling at the lowest point I got and it had actually pulled itself away. Anyway, during the burnout it must have falling off completely.

    So, having no dogbone mount meant the engine could actually swing under load. This caused the top radiator hose and one of the power steering hoses to connect with the radiator fans. Yay.

    I duct taped the radiator hose and bought a tonne of water. We had to pull over every 30-40km until we made it to a town which had a hardware store. Here I bought some shitty silicone self amalgamating tape and fixed the hose as best as I could without removing it from the engine itself. I am now covered in burns but such is life.

    We finally made it home after ten hours on the road.

    Suffice to say I put Megan through a hell of a lot over the weekend. After it all, she's still around. Think I found myself a keeper.

    Now to fix the car properly. I already have a dogbone mount, so that's easy enough, just need to get new radiator hose and power steering hose.

    Alrighty, stock wheels back on yesterday, Audi wheels getting dropped off for tyres tonight and picking up parts for Lucy.

    I didn't raise the car, she seems to be sitting at the exact same height thanks to the massive profile tyres on the stock wheels.

    Ferrari wheels are going this weekend. Can't wait to see them on the car they're going on. Hopefully get some dope photos when I get back to Adelaide in a few weeks time.

    This weekend will be a little messy, with it being the celebration of my twenty first. Hopefully next week everything comes together though.

    I'll try grab a proper photo of Lucy in her stock slammed goodness tonight.

    Alrighty, quick update which is actually a good update!

    I got out last night and drained the engine. Cleaned everything up real damn good. Plastered the oil pan with JB weld.

    Got out this afternoon, filled her up with oil and boom. No leaks. I raised her a cm ages ago, when I first tried to fix with JB weld. So went for a test drive and no scraping engine, got home, no oil leak.

    My buddy JB welded his oil pan back together and I never heard about it after that so it must have worked. I think he hit the pan with a grinder to scuff it up real nice so it stuck well but not sure.

    A mate of mine swears by Araldite to bodge up leaks (hit the area with copious amounts of brake cleaner first)

    Tonight I get to play around. I've decided I'm just going to cover the oil pan in JB Weld, hopefully that'll cause the leaks to be fixed.

    Okay, small updated.

    Looks like all parts have been delivered. Now to just figure out when I can actually swap the sump and all that jazz, I'm hoping it'll be soon. For now, I am going to go downstairs tomorrow night and have a suss of the current fix and if I can actually make it not leak at all.

    Soon, Lucy, you'll be fixed, I promise.

    Actually have to have her fixed as soon as possible. Looks like I'm driving back to Mum's on the 8th of May, so she /has/ to be fixed for that. Potentially on the Q5 wheels too!

    Adapters are done, just waiting on some spare money to buy tires and then I can throw them on. Won't happen for a bit as I still need to fix the oil pan.

    So, I put oil in her and she's still leaking a bit. But, she runs!

    Regardless, I have to get her to a mates place. So I'm thinking I buy a few bottles of oil and say, every five to ten minutes of driving, pull over and top her up until I get to said mates place.

    Going to head out to the Golf tonight and put oil in the engine.

    Hopefully it holds oil so I can get it to a mates place to swap the sump and do the dog bone mount along with a few other things.

    Last night, purchased some Audi Q5 wheels. 18x8+39 or something close to that, all I know is that they have some seriously large tyres on them.



    Should be nice to roll on them. Also got one of the 5x100 16" RS face and barrel so I can measure up for show wheels. Hopefully all my ECS purchases this week.

    Have to put some oil in the engine tonight so I can test whether or not the JBWeld temporary fix has worked well enough to get the car to a mates place when the sump etc arrives.

    Have a deadline to get the car ready for, need to be able to drive it on a road trip on the 7th of May.
