Picking up some daily wheels for her this Sunday.

As the Ferrari wheels have sold and I want to keep with the OEM+ feel, they're Audi Q5 wheels that will be going on. Should end up being nice daily specs as well.

Need to organise adapters as well.

It's alright in the end, at the height I was driving around at and the few bumps I hit pretty hard, it was bound to happen!

You're not wrong there, Furious 7 was actually fair decent. Decent enough to warrant a second watching of it tomorrow night!

    Ordered the following from ECS.
    ES#: 5669
    ES#: 1590
    ES#: 1591
    ES#: 4369
    ES#: 2679504

This will mean Lucy stays static for a bit longer unfortunately. Air can wait, as long as I get the engine spacers I don't think I'll have a problem. As well as some 18's to daily on.

That blows! You weren't the only one to break things that night!

As a side note Furious 7 was pretty decent.

    Damage assessment from last night...
    Shit's fucked? lol

Need to order a hybrid sump and a solid dogbone as well. The sump cracked above the oil return line for the turbo. I have temporarily fixed it with JBWeld last night and rose the front of the car about 15mm.

Hopefully the sump and dogbone arrive soon and I can get it to a mates place when the parts arrive. Then I can swap the sump, replace dogbone and potentially install engine spacers. Plan is to raise the engine about 15-20mm as well. This will mean the sump will sit above the subframe.

It was bound to happen, but last night I cracked my oil pan returning from Furious 7 date night session with Oxer.

So now I have another big order to make from ECS Tuning. Shortened oil pan, pressure sensor and bash plate. Goodbye money being saved for the air setup.

The Ferrari wheels do work well, but I just think at 17's they're an inch too small. If they were 18's there would be no way I'd have sold them and I'd be much happier with the fitment.

Hopefully I can sort out the proper wheels in the next few months, along with the air setup and shaving a few things here and there.

Still waiting for the ECS tuning stuff to arrive. I don't think I'll get it till mid April.

Then got home, the struggle is real getting into my car park, I'm not going to lie.

It is very sketchy driving her that low. Constantly slowing down to almost a halt to creep over bumps, almost being rear ended etc. I had to actually pull over and wave a few people past me so I could attempt a speed bump...

Air is a necessity here in Melbourne CBD.

Illuminated vents installed (but not illuminated as I don't have any tools to splice the wires in etc), but I slammed her again and put the Ferrari wheels on.

I got home and had epic stomach pains so I passed out instead of working on Lucy.

I'll get out tonight and do it that's for sure. I'm tempted to slam her and put the Ferrari wheels back on for the weekend as I don't really have anything else to do. Would mean I could get some goodbye photos of the wheels.

Finally the OEM illuminated vents arrived.

Super keen to get out to the car tonight and install them all.

Wiring loom for the illuminated vents arrived today!
Hopefully get the vents themselves some time this week (ordered them at the same time, but different sellers on eBay).

Might spend some time tonight playing. Pull apart the interior etc.

Loving what you are doing with the MK4 was a massive fan of your GC8.
Lastly definitely go to New Zealand place is amazing. Slopes are awesome, great food and coffee. In non summer months the coastal/mountains roads are amazing to drive
I really appreciate that man. That is really nice of you to say, so thank you.

I'm hoping the Mk4 is on another level to the GC8. I have a lot of work to go, but I think it'll be worth it in the end. Hopefully do some stuff that hasn't hit the Australian VW scene yet.

As for New Zealand, it's pretty much a definite that I'll be going. Just have to sort out some funding and go from there.

It'll be a while off yet, looks like I might be saving for a New Zealand trip instead of step lips and barrels!
