Hi there, figured i'd write up a build thread of my Lada 2107 from 1988.
When i moved to an island called Åland in Finland in februari 2012 i had a lada 2105, but it was in kinda bad shape so my boss got me a Lada 2107 for free, and then i tought i couldnīt drive around in a regular car so i bought a old school sunroof for it. Then i tought it would be cool with a better sound system, and that was the time when this long project started.
Enough with the talk now here is some plans i have and what i already have done.

I have probably forgot something but now the fun starts with all the pictures
Letīs start from the beggining of it all.
Front of the car

From the side

Back of the car

Cutted hole for the sunroof

Fitted a new muffler

Not very straight?
but that one is off now so donīt worry

Started to put in some dampening material

Letīs take it for a ride

And now the tough times started for my poor Lada
My friend kicked in the window

And then there comes snow
v

And now it was time to take it to the hall and start a real project
Started with some cleaning and polishing
Before:

After:

Then i tryed my sewing skills

Went pretty good for a first timer

Then i removed the backseat and fitted the Russian Standard bottle.

Perfect!

Bought some stuff for the sound system

Made a hole for the wire

Putted in some more damping materials and some speaker cables

One ideéa of how i was thinking of making the trunk

Damping materials for the roof

Soldered the small front speakers that now is gone

Had a friend to weld some rims to me

but they were too crooked to use

Fitted the alpine head unit

Welded a ground for the amplifiers

Started to build the kickpanels

And now they are almost ready!

started to build the woofer box

and my girlfriend plasted the subwoofer ring

Not very nice but it works for now

Everyone told me that i couldnīt fit a 12" woofer in the rear window shelf and i proved them wrong

And now i found a lada with 1.6L engine and 5 speed gearbox for a pretty cheap price

Drove it to my job and on the way the drive shaft came off
The earlier owner had forgotten to tighten the screws

Got the engine out the next day

The exhaust system is pretty straight

Started to sanpaper down the color on the valve cover and polish it

Then i bought some amplifiers

and got the vfts spoiler

Picture from the garage

and started with the first speaker box in the roof

Tried out some fabric for the inner doors

some more done on the speaker box

Got a hat to use in the garage

Used an oscillioscope to get good sinus waves from the amplifiers

Got my hands on an electric servo almost for free

New rims

Tried out some photoshop

Went to estonia to get a spare part lada

Started to make the other speaker box for the roof

Both ladas

Got some new front seats looks kinda retro

Fitted the 2106 dashbord

random pic

Fitted the window from the 2106

now the backseat is ready !

Had to do some wiring and soldering to get the new meters to work

Trying out how the new fronts gonna be

Ordered some engine parts

Started to modify the dashboard so i can fit more autometers and get a more custom look

and got the engine home

This is kinda where i am now, so stay tuned for next updates!
