  • Really Low, Crazy Static Fitment Z32

I've decided to give the whole build thread thing one more shot. I failed with my last one, mainly because I was basically done with the car when I started it, and I didn't have the money I needed to really do what I wanted.

I figured I'd hop on the "New year, new me" bandwagon and start one yet again, while my car is still stock and parts begin to pile up.

On to the car, 1992 300zx N/A, Cherry Red Pearl with black leather on suede, and other than a ruined front bumper, a perfectly mint and unmolested exterior. A perfect starting point.

And with that I'd like to backtrack a bit, because this isn't my first Z32 and I am no stranger to getting these cars on the ground. My previous Z was a 90 N/A in Pearl Yellow.

And back to my current state. After having replaced nearly all of the maintenance items on the car, out of not knowing whether or not they had been serviced properly before, I was ready to start modding the car.

I started off with a set of BC Racing coilovers, but not any spring rates were going to do. I got them custom valved for 26k Spring rates and ordered the extreme drop for extra low. I finally got my coils 5 weeks later (as of Jan 16) but my swift spring are on backorder until the end of Jan, so here is a picture of the box lol.

Next up was deciding on wheels. I had my mind 100% set on a set of black chrome Weds LXZ's but after pricing that out in the specs I wanted I decided to hold off. Luckily two weeks ago A set of wheels I have always wanted popped up locally, and I scooped them up the next day. Weds Kranze Bazreia in 18x10.5 +20F, -7R. Tires are 215/35 on the fronts and 215/40 on the rear. This same setup won Best Stretch at Stancewars locally here in Washington.

And thats where I am as of this post. I will be ordering Suspension arms in the coming week or so, as well as a new front bumper and then the wheels will be going on. Shooting to have that done quickly, as I want the entire car to be done by middle of April.

    Thanks for looking!

Looking forward to seeing this on the ground! You have a solid start with just experience in previous builds.

Thanks! I figured I'd pass the time while I was waiting for parts posting in this thread. Have a few other things I haven't mentioned yet, waiting for a rainy day haha.

Update: Unboxed my coilovers, started taking off the 8k/6k setup while I am waiting for my swift springs.

As you can see here the fronts are extremely short. This is the Extreme Drop package, and I will be replacing the normal springs with 26k swift springs, as thats what I had the coilovers valved at.

They aren't too bad after you've given them a complete run through. I've replaced basically everything that isn't internal, just to ensure I won't have 9000 problems down the road.

I've seen a set of 19's mounted on one Z, but the fitment wasn't very aggressive and the Z wasn't low. Super impulse buy, got them for a steal with basically new tires, I'm hoping they look pretty cool. Digging the new Lexus by the way!

Looks very promising and I love the side shot of the yellow one.

Glad you like it so far! This is my second one, I was so bummed after I sold the yellow one, Told myself I would get another, and exactly a year later I picked up this one.

I'm pretty pumped about where its headed. Tired of waiting for backordered parts, just want to put my coils and wheels on and get it on the ground already!

I really wanna see how this build goes since I also have a 92 300zx build going in a similar direction. I plan on swapping my springs for BCs, and I was also looking to replace the XXRs with Kranze LXZs, lol. It's a beautiful wheel. If I could cop a set of used ones in the next couple months, that's what i'll get if the price is right. I look forward to your progress. It's not every day you see another 22 year old build, lol.

Good luck with your Z! I'll have some more updates here pretty soon, parts are trickling in.

Appreciate it! I gave up on the Yellow one I had, determined to see this one through. I've Already Spent More Money On maintenance than I spent on my wheels, so hopefully once that stops I'll have it finished up pretty quickly.
