I've always loved kei cars, but I never knew how much until I picked up a honda beat this summer. earlier last year I had found a Honda Acty van for sale in Saskatchewan, and tried to convince a friend of mine who lives there to buy it because it looked like an awesome little car. He never ended up getting it or looking at it and I kinda forgot it even existed. One day I happened to see that it was still listed and decided that it would be a really cool project, but it was still a 7 hour drive away.

Both me and my friends decided it was probably a bad idea, a waste of money and a pretty horrible vehicle to own....

And just like that I decided to head out and pick it up

shortly after ariving we picked it up.

Once we had purchased it we realized the van was in a lot worse shape then we were expecting it to be, so we ended up putting it on a Uhaul trailer and towing it back to Calgary.

and heres a quick size comparison

Just like the Honda beat the van runs a mid engine, 656cc, inline 3 motor. It is however carbureted and attached to a 4wd system. it makes somewhere around 37hp.

As for plans: at the moment it needs a major tune up (timing is off, and probably a few other small things), fixing things like the sliding doors that don't line up perfect, tinting back windows, put in a bitchin sound system.
Other then that im not sure if I should lower it or lift it. In the end I'd like to make it into a fun little camping/party rig/roadtrip car.
I'll get better/more pics later on, this is however similar to mine if you want to see what the interior looks like http://www.minitruckcanada.com/class...3-2030867.html
And here's some examples of why its so damn difficult to decide what to do with the suspension.... they look damn cool either way!

anyways thanks for looking guys! till next time
