  • SN95 Mustang Suspension with Bags

I'm going to be upgrading the entire suspension on a chrome yellow 98' Mustang. The front is going on bags with a VIAIR 444C pump, 5 gallon tank, and Bag Riders 4-way paddle system. It's also receiving adjustable tokico illumina shocks and struts all the way around, upgraded control arms, lowering rear springs (might cut a coil off), and bigger sway bars. See the picture below for some of the parts.

I will be starting the build soon, but wanted to post the first picture to get the ball rolling. This is my first time installing air suspension components, so there will definitely be some trial and error.

Interesting. Just curious, why not bags all around?

Looking for that slammed look on my car, but two problems arise in my case. The roads in Southeast Texas are riddled with pot holes (massive ones). Also, 94-04 Mustangs have major bumpsteer issues when lowered a lot in the front. Bagging just the front allows me to save $$$ and deal with the other issues. I might bag the back at some point in the future though.

Front end geometry when lowered can be solved with any combination of aftermarket K-member, control arms, and/or ball joints.

Also have you given an IRS out back any thought?

depends on how low. at a certain point the bumpstops have to literally be inside the wheel to maintain geometry. i believe thats at roughly 3-4" lower than stock
