  • SLow! w202 Imperial Red build...

I've always had a mercedes as a daily driver but I didn't want to put much work into them because they where just daily drivers. Someone hit the side of my car a couple months ago and I decided that this is the time to work on my car. <- lol never got around to it in 2010 but I got the bug again to fix up my benz.

Check my latest post for pics...

I'm trying to stay pretty conservative on the drop because it's a daily driver. On wheels im just gonna take some outta my collection. I've been wanting to test some offsets on my 202 but i wanna be flush on the rear and tuck on the front. I also wanna run 255/35/18 on the rear instead of stretching tires.

Here's my wheel-whore thread from when i started getting wheels....You'll notice my chrome alphards lol

Yey or nay on these wheels?? My plan was to powder coat them matte black...

OEM Tails for LED retrofit...will also smoke them black.

Ok....So I spent the day testing offsets and I found these to work and be somewhat aggressive. You'll need minor fender spacing/pulling and rolling.

                Front:
                17x8 et22
                18x8 et28
                18x8.5 et 30
                18x9 et35

                Rear:
                17x9 et15
                18x9 et22
                18x9.5 et28-30
                18x10 et35

Can't wait to see it on rims ...oh and yes to them staggered rims up by there !
Btw I'm running of the more aggresive size on ur list being 18x8.5x9.5.rears are done no scrubbing no arch work ...fronts rolled arch no scrubbing at all .

the car looks good! im running 18x8.5 front +20 and 18x9.5 rear +15 spaced. My camber helps alot

Well, like I said my list is somewhat aggressive. I don't wanna poke and camber a lot because it's a daily driver and I drive 50 miles everyday on the 710fwy, 60fwy or the 5fwy. If you live in so cal you'll know what i'm talking about. There are tooo many pot holes, bumps, and cracks on those freeways. I wish I could slam it to the floor but I don't think that's an option.

my car has alot of camber which is natural for the 202 the lower u go the more it cambers !
oh and seeclass u wanna try living in the uk ...pot holes the size of dust bins speed ramps everywhere tram lines from heavy lorrys ....but we still do it as low as we can haha....im sure what ever u do to the benz its going to look dope, and besides its about fittment not lows

Actually, it was sorta simple. I bought them on ebay for $24.99. I took the chrome bezel off and cut out the oem plastic fog grills. I used some bolts and washers to align them and that's it. I masked the lens and painted everything matte black so match the oem finish. I can pop them on/off and they won't fall on the fwy because i already tested them in heavy rain.

I like them but im not in love with them so i'm going to see If I can mod some crystal type fog lights that would look factory. I already know which car I can take them from and it's not a mercedes.

                              Thanks for the tips!

A friend of mine put the drl within the optical originals! Still not sure which I like more!

                              Thanks.
