  • Bagged E30 from Australia

Ended up buying myself another e30 for a daily (previous daily was an e30 and weekender is an S50 E30....):

Please excuse my shitty phone camera pictures - still need to take some proper ones...

200k km 1990 318i Auto (freshly rebuilt M40 by PO)

When I got it the thing was the cleanest e30 I have ever seen - every piece of trim was intact, everything works - the only thing it needed was new engine mounts which I did along with a fer washers as spacers. I managed to get the pan pretty close to level with the subframe, but this also meant trimming the fan shroud as it no longer agreed with the fan blades.

Once this was all done, it was time to install the Airlift Performance Series kit that had just recently arrived (thanks to Bag Riders).

Didnt take any pics while installing but here is the dummy mounting of the tank/compressors (ignore temp water trap placement):

    Few more shots:

As it is, the front tyres are sitting on the upper of the guards, need to grind the seam away for another 10mm or so drop. Also have an iS lip to go on so should be able to put it on the floor

Just need to roll guards and then its time for wheels/smaller tyres!

We all know you had a sneeky fap to it.

Keen to see the new set up tho. Such a tidy e30.

          Put some wheels on today

          Work Meister M1R 16x8 +5 16x9 +5

Rear bags still have 20psi in them when the fender rests on the lip of the wheel, mainly at the back due to the bulk toe in from semi trailing arm setup. Will roll them a bit more tomorrow and see how much lower I can get it

Been dailying the bagged e30 for a few months now, have a few photos of it from meets and stuff - they all seem to be on grass lol, got my mate to shoot the car last weekend in a better location so should have some more interesting shots soon...

              Confused onlookers lol....

Im working on fixing up some interior stuff and (mainly trim i broke on the bag install) and have picked up a mint 90's Nardi Classic 360mm wheel and a grey E30 M3 rear seat to throw in. Been thinking of doing a static E34 touring so might put this up for sale for dumb $$ and see if someone bites haha.

Recently I ended up cutting out the seam at the top of the front guard (and trimmed liners so that I can still run them and not have rusty full of shit front guards):

Just working on a shortened M40 sump and pickup along with slight modicication of the exhaust as it lays it on the floor when I air out now on an uneven surface....

As it sits now I have about 5mm from the bottom of the fin on the LCA to the floor, although I reckon i could trim the fins and get a bit lower if need be....
