I feel the same about plastidip I did the centers of my wheels white and its been durable and hasn't peeled, but it gets dirty and stuff gets IN the rubber and won't come out! I get the feeling its gonna be a PITA to get off too

Funny you ask that. Just a few days ago I noticed that its starting to peel a little bit due to me aggressively throwing my phone under the stereo every time I get in the car. It's not noticeable enough to necessitate a repaint yet though.

Home for spring break and decided to install my headlights just for the heck of it.

They are kinda hazy but once I get the wiring harness and actually install them I'll clean em up.

Also got our team stickers in. I you like them feel free to buy one on our big cartel. It looks light in the picture but its darker in person.

It's Summertime!

Finished my first year of college and now its time to get back to my car.

First on the agenda was to install the Jdm headlights I got earlier this year. Ordered a plug in play harness from Lightwerks and got to work. The harness was plug and play so I had no problems there, however finding a place to mount the HID ballast took me some time to figure out.

Here are some pics of the installed lights. I'll update another day with some pictures at night to show the light output.


Next on the list was to paint the side skirts body color. To do this I used 220 grit and 320 grit sandpaper, some primer, 2 cans of Duplicolor Perfect Match Quicksliver, and Duplicolor clear coat.



Here's a shot after 4 coats of base coat



And here is after 4 coats of clear coat



Not really happy with the finish of the duplicolor clear coat. It's just not that shiny but I have yet to polish yet per the instructions so we'll see if that will improve the finish.

Anyway, here they are installed. The car now looks way more aggressive and makes me wonder why they didn;t come painted from the factory.

Now I know this is Stanceworks and I haven't done anything stance related to my car yet but bear with me. I am now saving up for coilovers and am not purchasing anything else for the subie until then. Right now I'm cross-shopping between ST, ISC, and BC coilover. If any of you have had experience with these brands, I'd love to hear your input.

Subbed because fellow bugeye wagon. I'm also up in arms on coilovers too. I'm thinking the BC's but i don't really know. Definitely not Teins.

i have isc coilovers. cant really compare to anything since this is my first set of coilovers. but i really like them! if you do get those, i recommend rear camber plates also. n1 coilovers by isc come with front plates. i still have about 3/8 to come down in the front also. if you check out my build you cant see. im on stock rim and tire size.
