    Hey
finally i found time to work on my car. i showed it first in this thread .
here ar my plans for now:
    - electric fan
    - new bearings for the engine (bad oilpressure when engine's warm)
    - repolish the rims
    - new tires (current ones have flat spots because i put too much load on the brake)
    - derust some spots
    -...

    what happened till now:
    - switched to steel wheels (was driving like shit because of the flat spots)
    - rebuild the intake side rocker arms
    - started to disassemble and polish te rims
    - new front shocks

some pics of the current state:

    bad oil pressure at 80°C

a pic of the snapped rocker arm. luckily it was the first cylinder ^^. i was able to pull the piece out with a pair of pliers and drive home with a fiv ecylinder engine

    current state of the rims

    dat shine

and now the look with the steel rims

    doesn't look that bad

    greetz

Those wheels, if i am not mistaken are style 5s or 19s, right? If so it's nice to see someone else running those on their e28.

i wanted to do more but then i won't be able to enter the parkinglot at work . at the current satet it's not easy to get in there. the exhaust scrapes now and then

          today hasn't happened that much

          only pulled the exhaust out

took a ride on my zündapp

          and finished one rim

Does the TÜV allow air cups? They might be a solution to get that front a little lower but still let you get in that pesky parking lot.

That lip polishing looks fantastic. Black wheels on silver is an old favorite of mine.

not really. it always depends on the TÜV-Inspector (don't know how to name him) if he allows it. they are extremly against selfbuild stuff. also no welding on primary structures like e.g. axle journals. there are only a few manufactors that make coilovers for e28 in germany. everything here needsa official approval number. some inspectors register selfbuild stuff but at a certain higher cost

                some progress was made today.
                the transmission got pulled out

was a pain to get it out in the little hole i'm working in

                clutch still looks good

caramba is the best stuff to loosen rusty bolts ^^

love the smell of it. like an old workshop

                see ya
