Aright, so here’s my story. Picked up this über-classy ’84 300D, nickname Ethel, from a member on here a couple months ago. Everything they said about owning an old Mercedes (or a new Mercedes for that matter) has come true.... random electrical issues, numerous leaks, dear god where is that smell coming from, and the constant fear that a window/sunroof is going to get stuck open in a monsoon. But hey, she starts up everytime… so far. But seriously, this thing is a beast. 218k miles and still going.
So far, I’ve done a ton of general maintenance work, including very expensive fuel filters from the Mercedes stealership, oil pan/gasket/filer change, burning sage to get rid of some poltergeists, suspension rebuild complete with professionally cut springs (by professional I mean I cut them while wearing a 3 piece suit), and throwing on some bitching ESM staggered wheels with totally stanceworthy stretched tires.
For a 30 year old car, she runs smoother and gets more thumb up and head nods on the road than my brand new S4. And the S4 is orange. Who doesn’t love orange???
Trust me, there is much more to come for Ethel. A classy old broad like herself deserves only the best and I’ve got some bitchin’ stuff planed for her in the new year to come.
When I got her....

Yup, it's a diesel... Sorry nature

Where we're at now....
