I'm new to the stanceworks forum but I just wanted to post up my current build. I bought it about a year ago. It's a early model 85 190e. I picked it up off a friend for 400 dollars because he couldn't get it to run the Xxrs I put on it. It didn't have wheels when I picked it up so it needed something to come off the flat bed

After about a week or two tinkering with it it was fixed and running awesome. (Also managed to find some steelies around my house that bolted up so I took the car for it's first drive

Instantly I fell in love with it. Unfortunately due to lack of garage space, it had to wait untill spring before I could do any modifications to it
Here is a better picture of it cleaned up

The car was already lowered when I got it (cut springs) but I knew right from the start that I wanted to go air. I think it was mainly because they didn't have a kit out for them yet so that meant I had to build everything myself.

I ended up just buying a cheap kit 4 bags compressors, tank and brass valves. Figured I'd start with that and upgrade as I go. Filled with excitement for spring I couldn't wait. I started tucking the car in the garage and doing small bits of measuring on my days off. I wanted to make sure the car laid frame but still had a decent amount of lift to it. A good friend of mine had a set of rareish Mercedes wheels in his garage that I got off him
Of course the chrome plating was peeling off of them pretty bad so I had to do some refinishing here is how one looked after I stripped most of the chrome off

They are arc alurads 16x8 et10ish so I knew the front was going to poke a little which is exactly what I wanted with a rear tuck. I started to test fit the wheels on the vehicle with the springs out and noticed I have a lot of work to do

I wanted to tuck way more wheel then that. The shock was bottoming out so I needed to go with something smaller, did a little research and found out you can run Saab shocks in the rear and they were about 5 inches shorter so I bought those to run on it. I was also reading that in the front you can run e36 struts because they are shorter and the r129 top mounts stick like 2 inches higher into the engine bay.

    More test fitting

Base coat on the arc alurads

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of my brackets when I put them in (got way to excited and forgot)

And after a solid week of swearing at it she was bagged, had a couple of small line leaks but nothing major, it was worth every second of it the car rode amazing, definitely a different feel from the cut springs.

Ordered some skirts that claimed to be amg. They are oem Mercedes skirts and they have amg in raised letters so I'm gonna assume they are

Final testfit with the wheels. So stoked at how quick the car was coming together for being my daily driver I had a goal to get the car done for spring staggered (a car show in Connecticut in the beginning of May.

    Finished alurad

The end of April I got the tires mounted on the wheels and put them on the car. I bought 205/40s so they had a little too much meat and not enough stretch on them so when I aired out the front I sat on tread. After a little camber adjusment in the front she was sitting pretty

    Couple photos from staggered

I haven't really done much to the car since other then added euro lights. (Which look way better I don't even know why the usdm ones even exist)

Some photos my friend Austin took

    Rear camber

    Red leather

That's all I have for now I will hopefully have updates in the spring I eventually want to do a m104 turbo swap in the future with a 5 speed swap. I love this car and I don't think I could ever get rid of it

The rear shocks are from an early 90s Saab I had to cut the bushing on the lower mount to fit them

Looks great, I have to say though I really loved the American headlights. The amber gives it that touch of "class" (to me anyway).

Car looks great regardless man, anything going on in the trunk as far as your air setup goes?

Yea I really liked them at first also. I think I'm going to try and get my hands on a piece for the inside that has the same yellowness to it where the fogs are. And as for the trunk it's a small hardline setup. I rushed to get it done so I have to redo it all. I will post a picture as soon as it's done though for sure!
