I will update with this cause while we were waiting for parts to come in, we fitted, bagged and smoothed our friends TDI swapped Caddy. It's going back to his place tomorrow morning so this weekend we can get back on to the Oval!

ok, Here we go. A long over due, proper, update!

We left off at the floor pan sitting on the ground cause there where it needs to be. Build from the ground up, right? Well that's what we're doing!

Back in March we went and got our needed parts from a shipping outlet in Eureka Montana.

There was a bunch of confusion and mis communication between the people at the outlet, one of the suppliers and Us. In the end, everything was accounted for and we got our paws on the much needed pieces!

Jesse was stoked. We stopped at a lake bed to celebrate.



Back home it was unloading time.





Punch Drunk Customs kit.





Wilwood Disc brakes, front and rear, care of Old Speed USA.





Rancho Performance Drag Pro Transaxle. Rhino Case, beefy this, strong that... Built to take the abuse. Also got this with Long Axles. From previous experience, Short axles are the way to go, but with the wheels Jesse is running on this bug, The long axles were required so we wouldnt have to use much of a spacer, if any all.



So that was March... As mentioned before, we took on a small project... That VW Caddy. Since it left the shop a month ago, it's now pretty well done. We snapped acouple photos the other night.

Vinyl wrapped by our friend Joe, this caddy is unreal. TDi big turbo swap. bagged and e-level accuair. We will be doing a proper shoot of this on the weekend.







With the Caddy out of the way it was go time on the Oval once again.

Jesse didnt waste any time and in a few days the pan was Mocked up with a trans, suspension bits and wheels.











Some specifics on the drop. We had to raise the trans 2 inches for the pan to actually lay on the ground. We are using swing axles. Everything is just tacked in really well at the moment for mock up purposes. Because we going lower than what was anticipated by Punch Drunk, a different bag support top bar is required and is being made now. Punch Drunk has been really awesome and Matt's products are top notch!

Next step was to get the body on the pan to see where we had cut and what kind of tubbing was needed.



















With the inner wheel wells cut we moved on to the rear luggage tray... it had to go.







With the body finally back down on the pan it was time to step back and have a look.



(the fitment on the rear, with the long axles and the et65 16X9 Clubsport wheels is pretty damn awesome!



We will close with this photo. Now we are going to figure out the tub for the rear and prep the rear for the WRX 2.0 heart transplant.
