Hey guys starting a new build thread for the Miata now that it is being torn down for it's yearly refresh.
The Car: 1990 Mazda Miata
The Goal: Proam 2015
Up to this point in my life I've only really driven Hondas with four different Del Sol builds under my feet and a new found interest in drifting the decision wasn't hard to sell my Del Sol and start looking for a drift car. I've always had a love Miatas due to their size, ability to go topless and being cheap.
The hunt was on! After chatting with some local drifters and driving a few cars I knew what I wanted, and started searching craigslist for my perfect car.Early May 2012 I picked up a 100% stock one owner smurf from a local dealership. After taking it to the car wash and doing a quick wash to get the dirt off of it I took some photos that night so I could always remember what it looked like the day I bought it.

After doing a actual wash with soap I found the factory leather top cover in the trunk and a roll of electrical tape. With these new custom mods the camera was busted out yet again and tried a new location for some pictures.

Look at that fresh to death top cover.:haiguyths:

Picked up a rollbar from a local. I have no idea what brand it is but he had a blue miata as well so for the first few months people thought it was his car.

Then of course you can't have a stock height Miata. It's just not right so I bought some Megan Racing ez street coilovers and dropped her down on the stock daisies.
