Haha, I would but they're 4x100 and the BX is 4x108, I don't really want to spend out for adapters when I already bought wheels for it.

Oh yeah! I haven't decided what set will go on it yet. Perhaps a hybrid, the comps have the barrels already polished 😉

also, that schumi wheel has me all sorts of excited
Thanks! Hopefully I can keep it going now that I have some time! I know, I love rare steering wheels. I don't know if it means anything to you but I also have the ABT version of the Nardi Gara.
Here's something else which ought to get you hot under the collar!
Also I need opinions, obviously I have a couple of sets of wheels that I'm refinishing.
Would you like to see wheel updates in this thread or shall I start a seperate one?

At one point, I had 7 different BBS steering wheels!
I'll keep updates in this thread then.
I need to figure out how to remove the ceramic clear coat on the Lips of the RN4 since my normal industrial stripper won't touch it.

Thanks man!
I was just browsing through Instagram, and discovered that a guy called John vanek had a jetta which was built to almost the exact same spec. Same colour and everything.
I had never even seen it when I started planning mine. But I guess mk2s are so common that you inevitably find one that's pretty similiar to yours.
I don't think his was bagged though, so I got him there.

Ran out of welding gas, so I made a start on my B2 headlight swap.
Here's what Im working with, luckily I was able to find someone who was cutting up a shell so i have parts of the B2 slam panel too. But annoyingly they didnt do a great job of cutting it out, so i may have to do some repair work before I can use it.
Firstly, I tried lining the moles on the headlight buckets up with the original jetta slam panel ones.
As you can see, they are are way too far in.
So next I used the grill as reference.
Ive still got to move it up a little and fabricate some mounts but I will try to finish it up tommorow.
I forgot to add this in earlier, but I switched out my rear deck and Cpillars for black Jetta GTI ones. I would like to find an Original non-sunroof Jetta GTI headliner but here in the UK we only got a handfull of Jetta GTIs and of them nearly all would have had sunroofs.
I am going to try staining the original one for now.

It would actually be my prefered option but for two thungs:
*The headliner would have to come out through the front or rear window, which means removing and probably breaking the glass, finding a Jetta rear window in the UK is actually pretty hard. Plus thats a load of extra work.
*On a previous mk2 I wrapped the headliner in alcantara, I spent probably somewhere near 4 hours on it and I could never get all the creases out. I know that the pros can do it but I dont like having to get other people to work on my cars.
So in summation, Yes I like the idea of wrapping it but no Im not going to do it haha.
That is unless I find another headliner to do, then I can just swap them when Im happy with It.

Thanks, I wasnt expecting such positive feedback whilst its still nowhere near done.
Yeah I love rare parts, theres plenty I have that Isnt in this thread. And also Im in the UK and I have pretty much every single US market Item for this car, so that can loosely be called "rare" here.
I actually managed to track down one of the most obscure badges available for a mk2,
"Jetta GTX16S", I have it NOS, Its from the french market equivalent to the GLI 16v which I believe they only sold a few hundred. Imo Its perfect for a supercharged 16v.INSTAGRAM:- @AROSSMARTIN

I guess I could tap out the hubs to 4x100, the citroen has a much bigger center bore though.
And to what end? Just to fit the Kamei wheels on it? I could probably find a set in factory 4x100 since they made them for audi 80s.
