"Finished" putting the dash back in today.

It was pretty faded so out can't the boot polish.

    Before:

    After:

Then re connected the dash loom and bolted it all back in.

I have left out the dash bezel because of future plans. No need to take it out twice.

Couple of updates. Fixed the steering column, turned out the inner part was in its collapsed state, so after pulling it out in the vice and bolting it all back in.

As you can see the "ebay special" boss is just terrible, it's properly bolted in and has almost an inch gap. It's definitely the boss since my OEM wheels fit fine.

Also did a bit more on the bay. I've got to get the welder out, then decide what's going from the firewall and if I want to remove the topmoumts and replace them with camber adjustable ones.

Tryed my metalplast arches on today. They're wider small bumper arches, my set is the only one I know of.

The one fitted to the car is the MetalPlast one.

Not sure if I'll use them. Leaning towards going archless.

Wow, this is a really detailed build. What was with the signature on the funky colored steering wheel?

Keep this thread updated, I can't believe I haven't seen this before.

Its actually a long way behind, all this was back in january, I just havent got around to doing the recent updates.

That Wheel is a super rare Michael Schumacher edition BBS steering wheel, at one point I had 7 different BBS wheels.

                  months later, finally an update:

Pulled the dash, hopefully for the last time.

I then pulled everything from behind the dash, Im ditching the heater and switching from the corrado pedal box to an bias pedal box, that way the bay will be completely empty minus the engine.

I then began to fill the holes, I welded in plates onto the inside then skimmed with filler. I have loads left to do tommorow.

Yeah pretty much. But not playing out the chassis legs, imo that's too smooth.

It's probably going to be a long way from professional quality but I think a car you build yourself is much better than one someone built for you, even if the quality isn't.

How have i never noticed this thread before?! It's more detailed than my sciroccos build, but everything youve done so far reminds me of working on myscirocco...except the copious amounts of wheels. I can't afford that right now -.- Looking forward to the end result!

Thanks! It's a shame that most of the work at the beginning is useless since I decided to go with an underslung pedal box.

I actually have two more sets of wheels for this car, that I forgot to upload photos of! As well as a set of Billet images for
                              My citroen!

Super rare kamei wheels (made by Borbet), im hoping to get them fully polished.

                              And these:

Compomotive CX-350s, proper racing ones from the 70s! They were actually previously on a 3.0CSL owned by the guy who invented wet wipes!
