B5 S4 lows and go*****

Well then....

Here is some info on my new purchase


Its a 2001 Black 6spd S4

136,xxxkm completely stock. i have reciepts for every oil change and everything that has ever been done to it. i am the third owner of the car which is nice as with my last few vehicles i was owner number 15 it seemed like hahah.

only mod it has is a b&m short shift kit.

i bought some of these today which is awesome only around 2000 km on them

Alright so i have been tinkering away with this thing over the past little while.

I put the coilovers in, and had a really bad audible squeak at low speeds and it was bouncy as hell.
Last night i took some time to check to see what was causing the noise, in my a4 the control arms were toast and made a similar
noise. Luckily i found that with st coils the bump stop has a boot on the bottom of it, that boot rubs with the boot on the stock
strut mount. That was the cause of the noise so i got that all sorted out and removed.

I also dug around the car a bit more,

first aid kit has never been opened
tool box in the trunk is complete and looks like it has never been used.

Loving the car so far and can't wait to make it a bit louder

I am also trying to figure out some ideas for wheels, feel free to post some ideas!
i have a few things in mind, or a criteria at least.

-18x8/8.5 front and 18x9/9.5 rears
-et 30 ish
-3 piece

i will be buying used with a budget around 2000$

these cars are so cool, i vote for the equips too, gold will work really well.
heres my friends old b5 s4 for some inspiration. wheels were 18 x 8.5 i believe , crazy high offset but they had huge adapters to counter it, worked out about et30/20 i think.

here it is with the wheels looking fairly normalish


then he decided to fit some pole positions, and bolt some aero parts to it.

that looks wicked, i had kind of a dtm look with my last a4.

going for a super clean look with this one.

also deleting rear muffler to get a little more noise from this thing......need to hear that bi turbo

Work VS-XX has my Vote That is what my brother runs on his B5 A4 with full S4 Kit OEM bumper and all. 18x9 all around with 3 inch lips. Any sort of mesh wheel looks great on these B5 chassis IMHO

For the love of God get the Equips. VS-XX are not that great IMO. Equips are timeless and look so good on so many platforms.

ya its just a matter of finding a set that i can either rebuild or adapt,

its hard because all of the 5x114.3 seem to have just ridiculous barrels, locally there is two
sets but they are 9" barrels
