im having fuel issues with my 79 528i at first the car wouldnt stay on longer than 5 seconds which led me to believe the battery or alternator was broke, ive replaced both and the car still doesnt want to stay on. i tested the fuel pump and that seems to be in spec aswell. the only other thing i could think of would be the multi purpose relay. someone please help!

This prob isn't the correct area to post this . However , i'll try and help. Check your FPR , check the fuel lines themselves ?
Jump pins on the relay plug itself , if memory serves me right , its the middle pin & the upper left. if not , start jumping pins with a paper clip until you hear the pump, start the car and see if that helps.
