haha i like it, the "X" is my little play on this cars theme, it will never be legal in any racing classes due to the swapped motor and widebody, but every race car needs numbers, so it gets the X to denote its competition-worthy, but not class legal

This excites me, the idea of an LS powered wide body e36 reminds me of this crazy European dude Harri Tervola's car, he owns a shop in South Florida called ter-tech and they've been building gnarly drift cars for years. This is the only video I found of it on youtube, but I just recently saw it up on craigslist for 50k or something crazy.

I was delighted to know that 3 months after Liberty Walk randomly started following me on instagram they release an E36 widebody that looks very "inspired" from mine
by the time i ever finish this car i'll get hit hard for "jumping on the bandwagon"
whatever, i guess i deserve it for not finishing in time
small updates new parts:
7" lips from dpe for the old fronts (will be powdercoating the other ones gloss black as well)
345/30/19 Hoosier race slicks, fronts on their way
also ordered a custom roll cage, just got the call yesterday that the shop finished fabricating it, will most likely pick that up friday or next monday
and finally if anyone knows a good hook-up for some compact electric actuators pm me the ones we have tracked down thus far are much too slow or large, we are going to be developing a "bolt-on" universal fit air brake kit for any wing. not sure yet whether attack angle will be adjustable electronically or manually but it will allow 90 degree rotation of the wing when braking to assist in stopping power, then return back to original position upon release of the brake pedal. most likely if we have the attack angle adjusted electronically, the wing will automatically lower to a completely flat position above 100mph to reduce drag on straight-aways lmk if any of you guys are interested in this maybe we can setup some pre orders in a few months
Could you look into using the system used on VW Corrados for the rear aero wing idea?
absolutely, I want it to be as universal and adaptable to any make/model as possible, aero motion makes adjustable electronic wings however you have to buy the actual wing with it and it costs about 8k, I want to create just the motorized mechanism so it can be adaptable and hopefully closer in the $800 range, theoretically it should be able to mount onto any car with a wing, I finally was able to track down some actuators as well so hopefully get them ordered and the prototype built
I really like all the comments about how you need built engine for the body kit to be practical. The idea of people on stanceworks building functional cars that aren't just for parking is really funny to me.
I like the build. It looks awesome. Its too bad that some people want to tell you how to do your build cause you clearly have a vision that does't need to be changed.
