sorry guys i've been so lazy with updating this thread haha, there has been A LOT that has happened.

lets start. good news: this build is not dead, it has been steadily ongoing for the last few months. bad news: its still not done

holy shit i don't even remember where i left off but lets start here:

like father like son, and for a while my car was taking up that whole third bay space and i couldnt move it because i had no wheels...that all changed as you know..

first order of business was to get the pass. side rear flares on finally, so everything was marked off and cutting began, after that i had my buddy weld on some metal fender liners mostly to seal off the chassis after i cut it, but also to give the underside a more finished look..

    the glasswork begins!!

now if it wasn't abundantly clear before, or you are just joining us..these parts fit like shit out of the box..

my good friend showed up to help with the exhaust and everything else

this point in the build was crunch time we were trying to prepare for a show 1 month away and yeah so blissfully ignorant of how much work was left, but never-the-less, some side projects:

    exhaust:

    undercoated:

    valve cover re-installed

    interior work

tires, big thanks to Ming at Fizz Autosports

spacers, shoutout to Adaptec, thanks for the hook-up guys!

and here i was a mere 3 weeks later

    then something happened..shit got weird..

wut. i decided i didn't like how shitty the front fenders fit, and so i figured i would change the arches since i would have to cut the fenders all up anyway

and then, just as everything was going so well, i was making more progress than i ever had in months, stupidity struck..

i took the car out for a first drive to break in the brakes, i was just going around my neighborhood and there is a long stretch of straight road i was using to do the stops, i was on the last stop and just as i hit 40mph my entire hood lifted and smashed against the glass on my windshield- shattering either side..worse however was that the entire custom- one off, nose panel ripped off when it hit my roof and smashed to bits along the road...

this is the aftermath.. you can't tell from the picture but the entire front piece from the hood vents forward was cracked and dismembered and pretty much unusable

at this point i was so frustrated that all that hard work went down the drain like that all because of some silly hoodpins that i just couldn't bring myself to work on the car anymore..

it sat in the corner of my driveway for weeks, everytime i came home i had to look at it just sitting there but i was too busy wallowing in my self pity that i didn't touch it, and so it sat..

a month went by, then another, and then before i knew it i was back in class, this time a full time college student, but then, out of the blue, i was fortunate enough to meet someone in one of my classes who would unknowingly put the whole build back on track, i believe he still posts here every so often

part II coming in about an hour, i need a coffee break
