what car? It's a piece of art that happens to be a transportation device...Last edited by loekaaz; 04-02-2015, 03:13 AM.Lucas

I like the look of the bomber seats (especially the copper highlights), but I would rethink the ergonomics - unless this is solely a showcar designed only to be driven on and off a trailer. I know the bomber seat is a hot rod favourite, but I can't see why - if they are so uncomfortable that you end up with back pain after a drive longer than 10 minutes.
The Ring Brothers' Recoil, for example, has seats that look functional yet cool - I'd love to see how they looked with the cushioning replaced by formed copper :

I like the way they did those a lot, the only thing is that the Merc's theme is all about raw metals. Now I don't intend the car to be a trailer queen, but I likely won't be driving it to long distance shows. Mostly a weekend cruiser for fun and I'll haul it to its intended shows on a regular basis as well. I'll be making some cushions for it too that I'll have in it most of the time and maybe just take out for shows. If they come out looking good enough though then I'll leave then in all the time.

The above seats are indeed a bit more 'techno' rather than the 'steampunk'-ish theme you're probably going after. Great design nonetheless!Lucas

Either way, I'm very impressed with the project and have been following closely. Great work, and I look forward to more!
