Is that black cover/extender soft rubber? you could use it as a lip if you moved it under the "mouth" <.< just saying

If you are planning on leaving traces of the factory paint on it then I would love to see the faces of the wheels matched to the factory body color.

I'm still not entirely sure if I plan on leaving actual traces of the color. If I do though I definitely agree, the stock hub caps are always color matched a set of wheels matched could work too.

Its not exactly the softest rubber, but I like where you're going with the idea. I might have to mess around with something like that.

You're catching on. The thing is that with my obsession of metals, I refuse to even clear coat over a raw body. I like to be able to touch the car and feel the metal. With that being said, I'm still tossing around the idea of copper plating the entire car. If I do that, that liquid copper/patina green might be a really cool thing for the wheels

I always wanted to copperplate a car but I thought it is far and beyond possible , because you need to physically submerge the body of the car in a chemical bath with an electrical current
To get a proper adhesion....... then after all that work....give the copperplate salt baths 2 times a day until it starts to form oxidization...........then you can truly be boss!

There are other ways, I'll leave it at that. I do already have the resources to accomplish the job.

Spent an hour or so gutting the interior last night, going to need to do some fixing on the floors which gave me a few other new ideas.

The interior was in great shape for the most part, just doesn't fit into the wildness of what is in store for the rest of the car.
