Porsche 944

Bought an 1985 Porsche 944 for a project.

Basic plan is to get it all running and driving good and look nice.





Doing all new brakes, control arms and suspension.





Still looking into best way to lower these cars. Suggestion are appreciated. Coilovers are my first thought be the only ones I find for these cars are pricey.. This is kind of a budget build haha.

Also 5x130 wheels are hard to find..

Sweet! I look forward to seeing a 944 get done! My buddy has a red 84 and he absolutely loves it. We are currently in the process of supercharging it.

I kind of just came acrossed it for sale wasn't looking for one or know anything about them but liked the look and was looking for a project.

Had a '05 Evo 8 for 4years that I totaled and sold ;(

Then bought a E30 for a 1j swap but didn't work out and sold it. Here we are

These cars are cool, but know what you're getting in to. It comes down to maintenance, specifically the timing belt and water pump. This service requires extensive knowledge and porsch-specific tools. If left unchecked, the belt snaps, and the valves bend instantly.

Yeah Ive read a little since buying it. The timing belt and everything was recently done though. And luckily my roommate works at a shop that does a lot of Porsche and Benz work.

Got the front brakes off and a few other things. Started stripping the carpet cause the top leaked and the car was sitting before I bought it so its soaked and gross.. Not sure what I'm going to do for a new floor I don't want to leave it stripped with wires or even bed liner.. Maybe just a new carpet set open to suggestions though!

A carpet set can be had used for cheap! As for sunroof seals, and basically anything for these cars, check out pelicanparts.com. Their parts are reasonable and the forums are beyond helpful!
