  • Black E28 Before and After

This is my 1984 BMW 528e 5 speed. It was a dusty, dented mess full of dog hair the day I brought it home almost two years ago.
Over the next couple months I cleaned it up with euro parts bought from Australia and Latvia and who knows where else.

And eventually got it to how it sits today.
BBS RS 211 wheels, chrome mirrors and grille, and brown interior with E36 seats were some of the major changes plus lots of little exterior stuff and replacing engine parts.
It's not done, but it's almost how I envisioned it to look from the day I first got it.

    Thanks for looking!

Is the chrome grille trim a standard/OEM thing? I want that!

The chrome trim is OEM off an e12 but it's not exact match to e28. I had to cut it up and put it on using double sided tape.

They're actually hidden behind the headlight grilles.

Good touches man. I feel like a bigger tire would fill up the fenders more but other than that, looks awesome.

Ah good thinking, much better than slapping some underneath the bumper.

Thanks. Yeah, I posted it for a week to test the waters because it has a rough idle that I can't find the cause of but I love it too much to sell it. I'm determined to fix it.

Back when I first got this car, your e28 with the flares was one of my favorites. Your new one looks really good as well. Props man.
I agree, tires ended up a bit smaller than I wanted but I'm debating moving up to 17's instead.
