Update: Finally put a gold handle back on the driver door and switched out the inside door panel so it matches again.

Buuutttttt I can barely stand coming on this site right now. Found out the Mexican doctors can suck my dick, they didnt do a good job on the surgery and Im going to have have surgery again in a week or two. So all my plans for winter break are pretty much postponed. Im freaking out not being able to drive it, or do any work on it at all it really sucks. Not working means no incoming funds which means no purchasing of parts. Also, being on crutches I cant very well go to pick n pull to pull the new interior or do much of any work to the car. The only upside is it will be in my moms garage over break so if I have the ability to work on it I have a location. Hopefully, at the very least I can move the battery to the trunk over break and at least clean the fuck outta the engine bay. I have insurance that will pay me a little for missing work but im not sure how much of that I will put towards the car. This will be my last update until I actually get something done.

What do yall think about color matching the black side skirts, rear lip and front lip (when I get one)? along with getting new mudflaps and color matching them?
I feel like it would make the parts look more OEM and also make it look lower as the gold will contrast the color of the road more than black skirts/lips?
and just for anyone who is wondering the color code for this color is 33/WA5333. The name is Beige Metallic, but some sites refer to it as gold. (which is what I like to call it)

You could get away with color matching it all but I think color matched mud flaps/splash guards usually look weird. I like that contrast they give when they are black. You are right that the car will look lower though=)

Get those flares on or at least tape one on to show us how they look=P

No i havent yet :/ I broke my leg over thanksgiving week while in mexico and I havent touched my car since. I wont be able to drive it for a month or two as I still need to have another surgery. Its currently sitting in my moms garage in my hometown and not with me up in chico. I have been driving my dads Audi or the familys old minivan since they are both automatic. The doctor said no clutch for at least a month.

Ill be back at my moms this weekend though for a doctors appointment and I will bring the fenders down from chico and tape them up to show you guys what it looks like. I also have some friends down in my hometown who are way into cars (unlike my friends in chico) who may help me get the fenders on since I cant really do much my self being on crutches. Maybe if I get a shop stool to roll around on ill be able to get something done?

My only thought with the mudflaps is that lots of cars come with color matched mud flaps that come factory. Im kinda thinking id leave the mudflaps black though, but I think when I get the over fenders on I will paint the skirts/lips the same color. I feel it will make the fenders look like they are part of the car more as they line up at the bottom with the skirts and lips.

It was cool to me lol I was drunk in the hotel lobby and thought lets do some Parkour (I dont do parkour) so i had been jumping down some transfers to get to the first floor quicker. After a few successful jumps I jumped down once (10-15 ft at least) landed on some wet marble floor, slipped, and slammed my left knee into the ground cracking my tibia in three places at the knee and destroying my meniscus. A lot to be blamed on El Capitan Morgan.

hahaha exactly. I actually managed to walk up to my room and sleep through the night just taking ibuprofen. I didnt go to the hospital till the next morning when I looked at my leg and my leg below my knee was offset by about 3 inches to my knee lol
Just sucks the mexican surgeon didnt fix it good enough and now im gonna have to have another surgery basically ruining any chance to get anything done or even drive my car for my entire winter break. But whatever could be worse, just postpones the build a little.

I'm sorry to hear! Hope you have a fast recovery!
As for the mudflaps I agree with Earl.
Defiantly loving those headlights. I'm considering tinting mine.
Wish I had a garage to work on the car instead of being in the snow/cold lol.

                          • Had surgery Wednesday but got some work done on the overfenders I had before hand, and im not rea'ly happy with them so i believe i will be just ordering the "JDM Overfenders" from ebay.
Also, have decided to not go with much of a front lip but just a front splitter as the front will be plenty low when i put on the coilovers.
I plan on making my own with plexiglass i have laying around. Ill be home from the hospital tomorrow and will post my progress on thebsplitterbwhen i atart working on it.

                            Over fender test fit

happy with how they fit in the rear but i dont haveany confidence in attatching them without ruining the cleanliness of the look...i kinda like the idea of the rivet on ones anyways as it will give it a sportier look rather than an OEM look

                            • overfender decision

Which ones should i get? the bigger whole wheel well fenders or the more sporty (and much less expensive) only top fenders?

                              Full Wheel

                              http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-JD...25024356&rt=nc

                              Only Top

                              http://www.ebay.com/itm/171325024356...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

ignore the mentioning of LEDs innthe one set. just try to imagine what the two different ones would look like I kinda am leaning to the lesser ones that would only cover the top of the wheel wells as it would give a more aggresive stance because you would still see a lot of tire from the front and back, but the top would be covered.

I think the lesser flares would give it a more aggressive stance similar to something like this.....

I like the idea of seeing the tire srill from behind just having it fit perfect on the top still thougj. Looks sporty and I feel is less commonly done than the full fender. I think ive made my decision unless i am convinced otherwise

                              • Wide Body (oh yes)

Bit the bullet and made a decision....
                                bought these http://www.ebay.com/itm/171325024356

should cover the top of the wheel well and go about 1/3 of the way down the sides. Itll make the fenders 3.5inches wider so i will be running 25-30mm spacers with my current wheels until im able to order some new wheels before summer. I think im going to run some 16x10s with a 0 to -20 offset on them. I may still even need a spacer with that but we'll see. The shipping is gonna take forever but they'll be here befkre the end of my christmas break. somwtime between jan 6 and jan 19th.

In other news my boss told me id be getting a christmas bonus so that means coilovers!!!!!!!!! as soon as i get my bonus ill be throwin coils on because i have friends who will help me while im injured. thouroughly have read through sixthsphere forums and cannot wait to throw the racelands on and be lower than all the saturns! (jk prolly wont be). ill most likely be doing the cpils, overfenders and some new disx rotors all at one time because i have a garage available so i can throw my car on stands and do it all. Ill also be pulling the bumper off during that time and building my splitter.

I know ive got a lot of talk on this thread and not much action but now things are actually coming together, who knows might have time to build the motor mount spacer at the same time. All i can say is that when February first rolls around, you can bet this saturn will have a drastically new look
