Ok, it's time. I've been lurking around here for almost a year now. Ever since I bought my E9 in the summer 2013.
I was just getting rid of my first car, a black e36. So I put it up for sale and started looking for something else. Stumbled upon this 2800cs. This was the same evening he put it up for sale. I knew that it was going to sell fast, so the day after I called him up and said that I'd come pick it up right away. The price was roughly 650USD (5000 kr) or highest bid. He'd been offered 1700$ already but I eventually talked him into selling it to me for 650$. So, me, dad and my sisters boyfriend went to pick it up.

A restoration project with loads of parts.

It's been sitting since -86, has 36000 miles on it and a lot of bad repairwork on it. Fortunately, since it's been sitting inside the whole time, the structural parts are pretty good and solid.
Made some new floor panels, and did a lot of body work. Been working on it every other weekend because of college.

Boot lid was in pretty bad shape. Rusted through in a lof of places.

All welded upp!

Winter came, dad was tired of me occupating the garage and he needed his -55 DeSoto back in. So the german was moved to a barn/shed.

There she sat, plotting her revenge.

During this time i fixed the brake calipers, doors and other minor stuff that I could fit into the garage next to the huge desoto.

Same procedure with the other door. Then spring came and I could move the e9 in and out of the garage as I pleased. More rust got taken care of.

Nice work!

Luftwaffe dropped of a sun roof panel at my lawn!

And recently; doors, boot lid and bonnet were sanded down to bare metal and sprayed with epoxy primer. The rest of the car will have to wait until our garage extension is completed.
