  • e30 and occasionally pictures of my daily.

Im not good a build threads, but i like to keep track of progress and enjoy reading other peoples so maybe someone will enjoy mine.

long time ago i had a rabbit

    then a MK2

    then another rabbit

    shortly had a 240.

also had some MK4's a caddy, some other stuff but nothing to write home about but recently picked up a e30

it needed a front lips. girlfriend got me a volvo lip

life happened so i was broke for a little, after some saving and stuff bought my self a bunch of parts.

rotors and pads, some tow hooks, steering wheel hub and a bunch of other crap but does any one really care to see more pictures of parts.

scrubbed the crap out of everything and got to work.

    now time for some shoes.

needed to fix the oil pan situation

and some crap people feel like seeing

then i got rear ended on the way to h20i.

no real damage but broken tail light and cracked up bumper

but in the process the rear panel is a tad tweaked and the passage quarter flare is pulled in. the car has had pervious body work so now considering the car is not the perfect semi clean car it use to be I'm not positive on the direction i want to take it in. I've done lots light fab work. exhaust systems motor stuff here and there. with my tan rabbit i did a lot of homemade work exploring different things. so I'm not entirely sure what i will do with this but i know it will be a fun build

    one last pic from h20i.

Wheels look great on it! Love the car, I wouldn't let the body work discourage you, this thing is very straight for its age

more pics as mud buddy slowly sends me from h20i.

pics of the coil overs welded in. i welded 100% of the way around preheating small sections and laying a bead, then cleaning and welding another inch or so. just figured id post up incase someone wanted to see or had a opinion.

all installed. and another with my buddies e28

more recently i started collecting parts for when i drop the rear subframe.

started collecting parts for when i drop the rear subframe, still need the reinforcement plates and subframe bushings. if any e30 guys are reading i'd like suggestions of anything else i should do wile i have it out.

im 50/50 on the window welded rear diff bushing. its a OEM bushing just all the gaps filled. I've always done this on motor mounts and rear beam bushings on rabbits with good results. but i plan to order the Condor subframe risers and thinking of adding there diff bushing to the order. I'd like to get my self a 4.27 or a LSD but depending on how money looks the factory diff might just get welded. just need to make my next school payment (last one of the semester) and i can order the stuff up.

also ordered this wing. I'm iffy on if it will look right on my car or not but considering I've seen 1 other car with it in the states I'm sure i can sell it for what i paid if I'm not happy with the look.

picture of my e30 because well that is what this thread is about

and a nice snap from the weekly junkyard trips i go on. buddy got some mk1 interior bits and i nabbed 2 more volvo lips

camber burnouts in my driveway because I'm bored and my and my friend was wondering if i had a LSD or not. time to weld the diff

not much real progress but picking up a Tig welder later this week so hopefully ill be able to provide more interesting progress.

yea i don't think i'd have a oil pan if it wasn't for the skid plate. it drags daily.
