TADAM. because I'm talking about the past, you don't have to wait 3 months to get the lips like I did



It was saturday, I had everything to put the wheels on the car excepted the bolts which I really wanted at that time. In the meantime:























But then, I thought let have a look in the mail box in case I see something. And there it was, 136 bolts and nuts waiting for me. So of course I didn't wait one second to do this:

RF's. Final specs will be 18x8.5 ET34 and 18x10 ET50. Lips are 1.5" and 2" for the rear. Tires are 215 and 245.

To get those offsets I had to remove a lot of aluminum from the faces. 8mm on the front and 18mm on the rear faces

Clearance between rear faces and calipers is about 1mm which is definitely enough. Onto the front, the wheels enfold the brake system like they are one.

Little issue here, I lighten the car every time I go over a speed bump and in my court



Washing. The weather was so bad until now that the car was dirty all the time. The ride height is now set and so the camber. I ordered some bubble lips from Paul for the RF's. Here very soon





Slammed

Something very strange happened. Went for a drive



Needed some gas. I looked at my aluminum window trim, ok looking shiny:



and suddenly, BAM it became black and a S/W banner appeared:

Some rolling before painting. Suspensions are so short, I had to cut the roller arm by 3 inches




New 1M order just to get a nice access to damper adjustments




Like I said the car wasn't in good condition, time for a new coat

Some more low. Because I'm quite lucky, I have access to a complete garage, equipment and lift which is quite useful in our case and not much if you are a baker. I lowered the car 2 inches more front and rear, and added some spacers to define the final offsets I want.

On 1series they are quite high. Stocks are around +50.




Ok so what you guys want to see is this I guess:






I am using a 0.5" lip from my RS's and spacers to define the widths I want. At this stage camber is about -1°, I will go around -2.5° in the end. I knew I wanted to keep the stock tires dimensions so I defined the widths of the wheels with that in mind to get the stretch I want.
