  • Reviving a junky s13

    Hey everyone.

Picked up my first Nissan the other day. It's a 1992 240sx hatch.

I paid $1300 for the car in running condition. However it blew 2 coolant hoses on the way home

    And here is the 240.

God, it is ugly. However, it has a perfectly straight body, and it's white like I wanted.

It has been moleste...I mean modded a bit.

    KYB shocks
    Vogtland springs
    No name exhaust
    All red tails
    JWT popcharger

    Check out the mexi wheel.

Pulling the intake manifold to replace all coolant hoses. More of a bitch than I thought it would be!

So far, I have replaced or am replacing:

    -Valve cover gasket
    -Coolant hoses
    -Fuel lines
-Replaced gutted trunk with nice carpet

I have only done two "mods" since I am concentrating on making it run nice first.

    TRM shift knob:

And this cool rear strut bar. I didn't even need thing damn thing, but it was cheap and I was hungry for some Varsity .

    My plans are:

    Clean Origin Kit
    Aggressive fitment 18" wheels
    New white paint
Restore interior to near new condition
Make the current KA reliable while I can build another KA independently.

I'm not even getting insurance on the car until I am happy with how it looks and runs. I don't want to be another one of those 240's running around with 5 exterior colors and quarter panel damage with pink wheels

    No offense

I will update regularly, so see you next post

Okay, so I put on a few coolant hoses, and ordered a few more.

I also bought an origin replica body kit

Those are the seller's pics, I will get better ones when I pick them up.

I will also be getting this JDM cluster from the same guy. My car has a HICAS cluster, and the speedo and tach don't work.

And finally, and most importantly, I bought some Work Meister's. 18x9 et35. So I will need a spacer up front. For the price I paid however, I will sacrifice Plans are to get them painted all pearl white with blue work stickers.

Will keep updating the car progresses more.

Got my Origin rep body kit today.

The front fit great as far as body kits are concerned..

      Sideskirts needed some trimming..

      Rear bumper off the car..

Pulled off the fender to better fit the bumper, and align it with the body lines. Also to clean and paint the chassis.

Sideskirts test fitted and chassis painted..

      Eyes closed..

      Rear bumper mocked on:

      Work Meisters coming this weekend

      bai!

Will that tach will work for the dohc? The redline looks like it's for a sohc. While the panels were off with the dash loose I would've relocated the wiring harness away from the wheel well into the engine bay. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the bit of info. If it doesn't work I will know why

I really do appreciate it, I am a Nissan noob. If you see anything else I might need to know, point it out
