  • Bagged and Shaved MX32

Hi! long time lurker, first major post!

Firstly, I know this build isn't going to be a lot of people's cup of tea, and I've already had my fair share of **** messages on fb telling me I've ruined it etc. I'm a minitrucker through and through and love anything low and on air, hence the path this is heading down!

    Current mods:
    Airbagged FBSS
    shaved door handles
5m engine (came standard with 4m, old owner swapped it out) which likes to shut down randomly whilst driving, possible carby issue

    Future mods:
Clean up interior, new dash, some new plastics, new carpet etc
    Re-paint gold colour
wheels (thinking 15x8 d window steelies) - though im liking the stock steel wheel/dress trim combo at the moment
    clean and rebuild carby
    cruise, cruise, cruise!

Enough words, i'll let the pics do the talking!

Since no one has bagged one of these before (that I could find any information about on the internet) we had a few bumps in the road, there were no 'off the shelf' options for the front, so we had a standard pair of struts modified

Still lots of room up there

Doors nice and straight once we removed the handles, keeping door lock and installing manual poppers to open:

Maiden voyage, 2 nights before a minitruck show (which I organise so had to have it there!) minimal brake pressure, no back seat, maximum air pressure LOL

How it was sitting at the show, with the initial air set up

After the show was done and dusted, I enjoyed cruising it for quite some time before we pulled it off the road to re-work the rear suspension and get it sitting a bit lower to the ground...
utilising the rear spring location, it was literally a straight replacement (with weld in bag cups/brackets)

Dodgy pic but this shows the difference, top pic is aired out with first setup, bottom is with current set up...

Got sick of looking at the primer patches and wanted to clean it up a little bit so I got some of the stock gold made up and sprayed the doors, looks so so good all in one colour again (although many different shades)

So that is basically where i'm at right now, im 10 days out from the show I put on, so i'm happy with how it's sitting at the moment.
I've got some new carpet coming for it and once that's in i'll post up some interior shots but it's pretty clean inside bar the cracked dash.

I am looking at ways to get it lower again, will never be completely happy until its on the ground but am looking at a smaller tyre combo just to get an extra inch or two lower, but I don't want to go too small on the wheels because I think the car is too 'big' for too small wheels. I will find out anyway as I've got a friend with some longchamps we're trying on for good measure

            Thanks guys!
I certainly love it as well! got some more colour matched spray cans made up to clean up a few little spots before the show. Will be looking at getting a full respray in the new year!

Had the show over the weekend, still recovering from that, was such an awesome day/night/weekend, perfect weather and great people/vehicles, already excited for 2015!

Anyways, I installed my carpet (incredibly hard job for 1 person, but I got there in the end after a couple of trantrums!).
and I got some fresh white walls at the show, it's amazing how different the car looks now, absolutely loving it!

Same show 12 months apart, top is 2013, bottom is 2014
