Some inspiration. the van is torsion so lowering it will be easy. the only thing I worry about is that Im putting old supra/celica wheels on it they are kinda tall

This is awesome. Especially the part where you ride the bike to buy a van, then load the bike into the van. Thats just bad ass :P

                    Tng bamboo flooring....nice!
make sure you compress the peices together otherwise they will pivot....unless your screwing them down?

Are the Honda from super tiny? How is that thing allowed on the highway? Max speed?

In for updates of wood and van

I owned one of these. Love them, bullet proof vehicles. Mitsubishi and Nissan made similar vans back in the 80's. The Nissans are super rare because they all caught fire. My parents bought our 85 used in 86. I thought it was a space ship as a kid. Inherited it and drove it all through high school. Fit the whole crew. Always wanted to pick up another. They look awesome slammed.

Tounge and grove flooring , the tounge has to be pressed into the grove, and then after each peice in installed fixed to the floor otherwise it can raise up under warping ie;moisture, heat
And generally need to be layed on a flat surface because they can flex and snap with weight.

                            IMO
you are probably better finding a large sheet of plywood to use as a base for the flooring, then cut out a template of the area In cardboard, and trace it to the plywood
cut the ply using a jigsaw and you'll have a flat base to start with that can be easily removed and being 1 peice it will have alot more strength than t'n'g alone
And you can order diferent height plywood from 3mm to 50mm depending on structural needs

the cons are that after you nail/screw/glue down the t'n'g it will make taking it out a pain.
Pros are instead you could laminate, carpet, sand and varnish, paint or rhino liner the ply
plus fix cabinets for storage if thats what you plan to utilize the van for

Hope this gave you some insight

I second the motion to back the hardwood with some ply. The tongue-and-groove is not going to be a happy panda on that corrugated floor. I would also be tempted to put some rubber or some of that reflecty bubble wrap insulation on the underside of the ply, just to keep the floor from clonking around on the metal as you walk on it. That's just me though.

I always thought these were goofy cool vans. I always wanted to do one of these in like an 80s interpretation of a '70s coke-hookers-and-syphilis van. Sleeper couch in the back, MAME cabinet with arcade games, maybe a super 1980s boombox somewhere in there, that kind of shit.
