hub conversion from honda accord type r
    coilovers
    wheels
    roll cage
    racing seats & harness'
and drive the shit out of it

this is how it looked when i eventually got it into the workshop the gap between the 2 ramps was fucking tight xD

    old engine out!

I made quite a mess taking it out... oops!

new engine going in for first test fit and to work out what mounts i need to use.

this is part of the front engine mount

this is the other half of it... Might need to replace that one

I had some issues with the alternator belt on my daily, I could hear something slapping about turned out it was the belt coming apart and somehow turning upsidedown on the pulleys?!

anyway fixed it and it's back to running normally

While i'm waiting for money to be in my bank so i can spend it all on car parts... I started painting some engine components
it came out well i think... although i've realised the paint i used comes off when oil gets on it... not very good for a power steering pump haha so i'll have to strip it and repaint it. At least i know how to strip it...

So i've not done much work on the accord recently as I keep burning myself out on my daily!

It got a big brake conversion all round!

The new front disks vs old front disks... quite a difference...

                I made a mess... haha

rear disks as well, to replace the sh*tty drums

and i fitted braided brake hoses all round while i was at it

I've done a bit of work on the accord now!

Attempted to fit the accord type r pedals, realised how different they are, so i cut the brake pedal down. Didn't really want to do that but i'm poor and can't afford the correct pedals

                  Before

                  (not me )

after, i'm going to use skateboard grip tape on the pedals instead of the rubber i find my feet slide off them too easily.

Engine Wiring looms are here. It's a stand alone 'race chassis' harness that doesn't require any other wiring in the car to run - to avoid complications.

To run this loom i needed to modify my distributor. I had to swap the contents of an OBD1 distributor into my OBD2 distributor. I ended up having to drill and tap 2 threads into it so that it would fit inside

                    finished product

Bonnet Hinge finished, need to get onto the other one

                    Replaced sump gasket

Replaced with appropriate sealant/gasket maker because sump gaskets are poo

Dismantling the head to prepare it to take to the machine shop to be skimmed

                    wrapping up components

Took a quick break from it one weekend to help strip an S13 with a friend

Stripping down inlet to be blasted

                    Blasted

Polishing the fuel rail... Considering doing it black instead of polished now as there is a lot of silver on the engine

Got the rocker cover back from the power coater, I'm happy with it - the engine is going silver with blue hoses and the bay is going blue

Found out why the exhaust on my civic was so loud...

Modified my scorpion exhaust from a CRX to fit my sedan, so it's now a scorpion from the manifold back. Sounds quite good although it's very quiet

Did a photoshoot of it later in the day

Back to the accord, the flywheel arrived. I inspected the clutch on the engine, it looks almost brand new so no sense in replacing that for the moment.

Just waiting for money for the head bolts and head gasket then I can rebuild the engine and get it going (once i've finished painting it )
