    Hi everyone, I've been a long time lurker on the forum but finally having started my quest for mad lowzzz have I decided to post so here we go.

    So the car is a 2002 Jaguar 3.0 manual and was bought off a family friend after I had a mishap with my first car, 1996 jaguar xj6 (guard rails do naughty things to cars when they get hit). So somehow I've become a jag guys with this being my second jaguar I guess, not sure how that happened considering there are many cars I would much rather own but whatevz. The car has really grown on me and I have a blast driving it every day.

    But anyway the idea of doing air suspension on my car came after realizing that there is only one company that makes coilovers for these cars, and they are only front adjustable, not to mention $1600. I imagine it would be possible make something intended for a ford focus work as the suspension is very similar to many ford cars of that era but bags are way coolio.

    So bags sounded like a good idea. And consequently bought the Autopilot v2 system from bag riders. So I get the management all setup some weekend a long time ago(ashamed to show you guys my truck it looks pathetic the way it's currently set up) and the build came to a halt due to getting my struts worked on to accommodate bags. The guys at Wicked Fabrication did a FANTASTIC job, but took them what seemed like a decade to actually work on them as well as several emails asking if they have made any progress on them.

    Here they are after me doing a shoddy paint job to cover the bare metal.




    I had planned on having the car on bags by the time I graduated high school, so mid June, but with working a metric fuckload to help pay for college (spending all this money doesn't seem to smart but oh well) I haven't had time to get the few days off to get get everything installed.
    Now you may be asking why would you bag a jaguar? And I find myself asking the same question every time I buy something related to the build. That and the one other lowered jag I've seen in the Seattle area, my god its BEAUTIFUL, I assume its on bags as well unless he is running a different set of coilovers than the ones specifically made for our cars.

    I don't have any pictures of it on all four wheels so here is a mid surgery picture.
    I apologive if pictures aren't up to par, they are being take with my phone and not always in the best light, like this picture.


    So after lot's of cursing, EXTREME FRUSTRATION, questioning my sexuality for not being able to remove a strut, and finally resorting to buying a bottle jack to force the piece of shit strut out.


    I could only get he strut half way out with a big as hammer and grunting.


    The jack on the other hand did it first try.


    And here we have a stock strut to gaze upon, next to it's superior counterpart.


    So that promptly went into the trash pile.

    And in with the new cool parts.


    So as of writing this both the front is completely done... And to be quite honest SUPER DEPRESSING, I don't have a picture of the car on the ground aired out but just imagine pure disappointment and that's what it looks like. I'll get a picture up in the morning, as there is no way I get get a good picture right now.

    SOOOO this is good in sense as it means the build will be longer, but more expensive also :'(

    I'm in for updates, and FWIW, all builds tend to be more expensive than we initially think but I believe that just makes them better in the long run, keep it going!

      I know I am exited that I get to work on it more, and it not just buy bags and wheels and congratulations! your car is low.

        Alright so here is the fronts aired out.

        It sits about 2 inches MAYBE lower.

        I don't plan on doing the rear bags till I can get the front to where I want as I shouldn't have a problem getting the back low. So I sent an email to the guys over at airbagit.com to get some info on the struts that they supply that apparently are direct fit. But until the front is figured out it's mainly going to be cosmetic changes and such.

          Gotta bring them struts down a tad, not sure what sort of room you have in there but they appear to be tightened into a collar on the knuckles. I'm not huge on Jag knowledge so I can't say for sure how much more those struts could be lowered into the collar.

              Unfortunately they are as low as they can go in the collar. They are sitting on the stopper plate that doesn't let them seat any lower. It would be possible to cut the plates down but that would only give me another quarter inch at most.

                    It was horrible, I was asking people on the Jaguar forum if it's common for the struts to be hard to remove and everyone said no. Just undo this, this and that and BAM pull it right out. Clearly not the case from me, as I spent HOURS trying to get them out by hand until the bottle jack was bought.
