Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster.
Since I can remember, I've always had a thing for angular cars. There's something retro-modern and spacecraft-like about them. One of the cars that had always drawn my attention was the Nissan Z31 chassis.
Here's the first one I had when I was 16.

Stock.
NA.
Auto.

It was more than a problem child. Always broke down and spent more time on the back of a truck then on the road.
I loved it, but it was impractical and it had to go.
To make room for this. Z31 number 2.

Bought it matte black and it looked terrible, but it was 5 speed with the digital dash and it already had some wheels and spacers on it.
I can see now why I never put money into it. I had an AE86 as well -.-
I got tired of the patchy black and painted it green with rattle cans.

I was young and dumb and full of fun (still am) but hey, it was an improvement.
Long story short, it blew up.
Between those I had a bunch of different cars. R30, R31, R33, Z10, KE70 etc...
None of them really did it for me like the Z31s did.
Then I laid eyes on this.

A super rare import Z31 Fairlady 200ZR.
5 speed.
Factory RB20.
Turbo.
I had to have it.
That weekend I drove across to the next state to go and pick it up.
After a 1000 km trip, I had it in my yard.
It was glorious.

And that's the boring back-story.
Actual progress will be in the next post.
