  • e36 325is : I must love my Wife...

So must of us unmarried/married stance works men know that its hard to find a keeper. one that can stand the day in and day cars cars cars and not complain you have ones that just tag along... you have the ones that try to get you to slow it down... and occasionally if your lucky you find one that is ok with it as long as she gets one too.. thus the wifey build begins..

So its tax season 2014 and my wife has the bright idea to start a project build for her self.. her words " are Dakar Yellow M3's expensive?" "Ah Larwd...yes... why?" "no reason".

a week later we bought this for next to nothing. single owner 1995 325is with 200k. for 1300$ with a binder of service records from BMW Dealership. and most important of all.. .ICE cold A/c.

My plan was simple and worked flawlessly for a while. I was going to get the OK to spend money on my car as long as she got my old parts.

I new I was going to be painting my m3 so I got brand new front bumper ,rear and side skirts and gave them to her. Also gave her my old CX racing coilover and I got BC's

Now i cant get her to slow it down. Prolly best I didnt get her an m3

scored a pair of OEM mirrors on craigslist 50$ so far the only expense on the car.. so far so good.

our weekend car was ritual , mine freshly painted

    "I got this"

then I found a set of mint condition magma door panels for my car on ebay i had to have and thought her car would nice with my old magma ones

Came home one day and noticed she made a little modification to the trunk.. cute but.. no..

So one day I was lurking on ebay and saw a set of vader headrest... as most of you know these almost never get separated from their seats so i had to get them.

another evening of lurking and a week latter this showed up....

          another night of ebay...

not too shabby for 200k interior

put front head rest in the rear slot.. kinda big but will do untill i can locate a set of rears

          speed demon

Looks great! I was debating on picking up those mirrors on craigslist.

You must have surely seen this while lurking Houston's craigslist.

it appears that somebody else tried to approach the Dakar paint in a different fashion.

Sweet build so far! I admire the colour change, most would have left it black (myself included), but I can't help but love the Dakar yellow now. You've also got me searching ebay now for some vader head rests for my e36 328 now haha

Ha yea the color gets under your skin. she actually told me that at least once a day some asks her what year the car is and is it for sale lol
there is a single headrest right now for like 150$ (too much IMO)
