  • Building my Slammed Miata NA

Hallo from Belgium, my name is Tim.
I have been following Stance|Works, for some time now, without writing.

I love Stanced Cars and I watch a lot of builds online.

The purpose of this thread, is to show you the progress of my own project.

    So Let's Begin.
    __________________________________________________ ____
I have already done a lot of work on the car. But it is far from finished.

I bought the car 1 year ago.

    Discoverd a lot of rust..

    Time to Fix it up.

Change the Oil, cam belt, and paint some parts.

The water pump was leaking a lot, so I had to change it.

I did not like the red cam cover.. So i tried something different.

    And painted it Black..

                Next step, Turbo !!

Next thing I want to do is installing a big turbo for lots and lots of Tchoe Tchoe Turbo Power.

Engine is the 1800 cc version.
So far I only did the exhaust and intake. (Also removed the Cat)

Thare are a lot of Turbo kits you can buy online. (ebay, flying miata, BEGI ... )
But I want to make my own special setup.

Who can give me some tips for making a good setup.

I went to a realy awesome tuning event last weekend.

But first, I did some small changes on the car.
I didn't liked the white indicators so I painted them black. It makes the front more complete.
I also found a nice stance works sticker to put on the windshield.

One of the biggest problems I'm having a the moment is that my engine is sucking in a lot of hot air.
So i bought a cold air intake system to install. Picturs will follow soon.

There was a Limbo at the meeting so I joined the party!!

It looks like a toy car like this.. :p

I took the first price of lowest LIMBOOOO 1meter and 18 centimeter or 46.45 inches High

I know it can go much lower.. but first I need to roll my fenders.

Yes you have good spy skills..
I drive a KTM 250 sxf and a Yamaha blaster quad.

I slammed the blaster a few months ago (ground clearence 2 cm or 0.78 inch.. So offroading is next to impossible.

I did a lot resurge on turbo parts and followed lots of Miatatrubo builds online. And I decided to take it stap by stap.

                          First stap ECU

I ordered the DIY megasquirt V2 from DIYautotune.
I love to build stuff so I figured this will be perfect for me.
The best part is to learn the details about this product and how it works.
The software is awesome and you can find a lot off documentation online.
There are lots of options to play with. I mostly like the Launch control setting

                          +

ordered The AEM wideband AFR sensor and gauge and a IAT sensor.

                          Launch control !!!

                          Next step is the clutch.

I had a bad Throwout bearing so I needed to change it any whey.
I decided to replace the whole clutch with this XTD stage 3 with the light flywheel.

                          Oil catch can

                          QSP racing

                          Cleaning the HLA

                          Depower the powersteering

Time for some Turbo parts !!!!!!

I ordered some parts from CX racing.
The quality is really good except the ebay turbo of course. But I wanted to start cheap and replace the turbo in the end with a Garrett turbo.

This is sold as a kit but I had to do lots of changes and improvements to make it like I want it to be. (Still need some improvements)
