Remove perch, shorten springs plssssssss

Remove the perch for more lows. Look at the distance between the base of the strut and base of the spring where the perch sits. That's more room for lows.

If you're interested in good replacement struts by the way, my buddy just went with Lotek "short" struts. They're 2" shorter than stock struts, super stiff and ride great on his eBay sleeves. Ride as good as any one piece coilover I'd driven on in a Civic. They were like 170$ shipped or something w/ a lifetime warranty.

My shocks are fine lol.

Although my exhaust hits the control arm on EVERY SINGLE BUMP. Im in love with how the car is sitting currently.

Edit: plus having some travel is a plus when you're mid corner and hitting bumps at the same time!

I still have plenty of suspension travel. At first I thought that my shocks were bottoming out but then I adjusted them damping a bit and it still clunked and what not so I looked under and found the exhaust was pretty much sitting on the control arm haha.

Also Ill probably raise it either later today or tomorrow. or just bang my exhaust up more haha.

Edit: plus having some travel is a plus when you're mid corner and hitting bumps at the same time!

2nd edit: Is there room above the muffler to move it higher? Could also use a socket and hammer to clearance the pipe also. Or notch the arm for the pipe but that's extreme.

money is always the struggle when it comes to ruining your car (jokes), but it seems like you have alot of car knowledge for your age which is a plus in anyones book, unlike me i'm trying to learn about everything still

Ruining cars is the name of the game bruh haha. Also thanks man I still have a WHOLE lot to learn tho. But with cars especially you really only learn once you start working yourself. But internet and tutorials have saved my butt countless times tho

Then I decided i was bored today so I went out and jacked the rear of the car up sprayed some of this magical liquid onto my coilovers to unseize them and BOOM it worked.

So now both side are would all the way down

Now im tucking tire all the way around. YAAAASSSS but I do have a bit of reverse rake which is annoying, so ill have to jack up the front end and see if I can lower that down a bit more.

So now that im actually sort of low my rear suspension started knocking when I go over bumps and turn left. So I poked around under the car and found out my lower control arm is hitting the exhaust pipe LOL.



So now I have two options when it comes to my suspension. When I get my jack back from my brothers house ill raise the front up to see if I can lower it more, and if i can ill end up having to cut the rear exhaust off right at the muffler.

Option two is if I jack up the front and find out I cant lower it more ill raise the rear to get rid of that pesky reverse rake and make some room for the exhaust.

Till that happens ill just be driving around with reverse rake and a banging exhaust lol

Thanks dude that really means a lot. The struggle with money is too real. Im totally the same way with my opinions on jobs, like as soon as I can find one major things will start happening with the car.

money is always the struggle when it comes to ruining your car (jokes), but it seems like you have alot of car knowledge for your age which is a plus in anyones book, unlike me i'm trying to learn about everything still

i can't believe i just read this whole thread lol, but she looks clean man, i kind of relate to your situation, i've never had a legit job before, i just have money saved in the bank from over the years and my mum surprised me with my r18 3 months ago, right now i'm in my freshman year of college so i can't work yet, but once i start working everything is gonna start rolling from there, but your an inspiration man, working on your car at young age!

Im seriously starting to consider cutting some coils right now .

Also anyone on here now how to unseize coilovers? Like all 4 corners are seized in some way. On the fronts the allen head bolt is seized so i cant tighten the coilover so it stays on one height (not really a problem cause they are already all the way down. But the rears are where im getting really annoyed. The bolts are stuck just like the fronts but with an added bonus the collars wont move up or down.

If anyone knows how to fix these issues ill give you like +5,000,000 cool kid points.

Once I can tuck tire all around the car ill be happy with the height on these current wheels.
