I wanted something I could work on before I turned 16. But then I bought the silver hatch which went a little too far off of the other end of the spectrum. Then I bought this. Looking back at it I probably wouldnt have sold the coupe but hey its all in the past, and im happy with this hatch.

    • Good job on the hatch, I would never touch a Civic coupe. Hatch and sedan only.

        • ALRIGHT FUCKERS.

I found the source of my suspension knock in the rear.

Its this thing here (the rubber bushing thing)

This guy comes loose when you make the suspension do anything.

But thats just cause Its a top hat from the front. Just need to swap them over and call it a day.

In other news I still havent figured out my rubbing issue in the front cause I cant drive the car to test whether or not my fixes work so I havent looked there yet.

          • Drive it up and down the street rubbing, jack up, remove wheel, inspect. That's how I always did it lol.

              • First off I would like to apologize for lack of updates. #plsfrgve Its just nothing has been going on with the car until now.

OK so first off my brother and I finally swapped the top hat on my rear suspension. It only took like 20 minutes so I didnt bother taking any pictures.

Now onto the meat of the update. I finally decided to clean the cesspool of crap that I had in my car. I should have done this when I bought the car but it was basically just used as storage and what not till I get my license. I still havent got my license but i only have 9 days to wait so I am super excited.

This is what my car looked like before I did anything.

Then I got rid of the big stuff. (kept all the good stuff like tools and good stuff)

Then after looking at the car I decided that a regular vacuuming just wouldnt cut it. So i took out both front seats to get deep down and clean this slut.

This is what greeted me when I took off the seat. (It was basically the same on the other side)

                Drivers side:

After vacuuming and scrubbing with my carpet cleaner.

                Drivers side

Its not as clean as I want it to be but I dont have/ Cant afford a Hot water extractor (which would be the correct tool for a carpet this bad. Also that blue stain is the paint that the PO supplied with the car to touch up paint They must have accidentally sprayed it there before. It was the wrong color too :/

I then tackled the seats (the fronts were good and just needed a quick vacuum so I didnt bother taking any pictures)

                Rears before:

The picture doesnt really show the dirt all that well but there were pine needles and what appeared to be saw dust or something EVERYWHERE.

                After:

I also wiped down all the plastics with my cleaners. Perks of being a detailer is that you always have cleaners and shit. But thats besides the point. Also I didnt take any pictures of the plastics and what not cause I was focused on getting it done.

Ill post pictures of the full (and clean) interior tommorow cause it was already dark by the time I finished lol.

In case you're wondering this took about 3 and a half hours from start to finish.

Till next time gents. (and gals)

Aw snap I didnt know you were a detailer. Thats awesome.

Also I felt the exact same way after I finished the car lol. I love the satisfaction you get after you finish working on a car for hours on end and then just standing back and looking at it. Its a weird but incredibly satisfying feeling to see what the car was before to what it is now.

                        • Clean interiors are cool

Pictures arent the best but its hard to get a good angle of the interior in the car cause its pretty small inside.

Also a couple pictures of the turd just because.

Haha yeah it was dirty. But for a while (before we got the car running) it was just kind of used as storage for tools and shit from my brother and I.

Before I owned it the guy had it sitting for a while under a tree and a bunch of shit fell or something. Also I did find a fair amount of wood screws in the car, and what appeared to be sawdust. So this guy probably did some sort of woodworking out of the back of this car. idk it was bad tho.
